## [0.4.111] - 2026-09-28 — the go-compile contract had three prose copies and no reader for any of them (section 13, suite 82 → 109); the QA entry that sat above the file's own `# Changelog` title is re-homed as [0.4.110] — regression **57 suites / 4996 assertions / 0 failures**, the first fully green run of this tree

### Why

Two queued items, both about the same failure mode: a contract written down in more than one place with **nothing reading the copies against each other**, so any one-sided edit stays green by construction.

**(57)** `tools/system-status` carries `# Contract (pinned by tests/test_system_status_go_compile.sh):` above the `go-compile` row — and `grep -rn "pinned by" tests/` matched **nothing at all**. The sentence claiming this suite pins the contract had no reader. `grep` per child, measured before writing anything: the `queue-source` claim *is* machine-checked (section P of `test_queue_source.sh` compares that comment against `--help` and the epilog), the `go-tests` claim was made true by `[0.4.108]`'s section 11b, and **go-compile + promote-gates pinned behaviour but never read their own comment's text**.

**(58)(a)** `08b2dbf` prepended a 7-line QA entry **above `# Changelog` itself**. That single prepend both duplicated `0.4.29` (the 2026-09-24 `landing.php` entry already owns it) and moved "the changelog top" to `0.4.29` while `GLADEX_APP_VERSION` and all four binaries still report `0.4.28`.

### Changed

- **`tests/test_system_status_go_compile.sh` gained section 13 (27 assertions, suite 82 → 109).** It extracts all three copies — the `--help` verdict block, the tool's `Contract` comment, this suite's own header — and compares them as a **(declared condition key → verdict)** map of 4 keys each, through one shared key table, because the two registers word one condition differently (`child exit 0` vs `the child exited 0`) and a word-for-word comparison would be red on layout alone. Non-vacuity is asserted, not assumed: each copy must land on exactly 4 entries carrying 4 distinct keys, the comparator **refuses two empty extractions**, and the only `error` in every copy must be `broken|error` — the row's whole promise is that a committed file that does not compile is the one thing that goes red.
- **Five negative controls**, each asserting *first* that its plant changed the source text (so "caught" cannot be true because the substitution matched nothing): two verdict flips in the comment/`--help`, one in the header, and two case deletions (`could not be verified` half-row in `--help`, the whole `could not check` case in the header). All five caught.
- **`[0.4.29]` (2026-09-28) → `[0.4.110]`, parked at the bottom**, author's prose byte-identical, plus the standard pointer-only `### Queue` block — the same repair as `[0.4.30]` → `[0.4.87]` and `[0.4.75]` → `[0.4.90]`. Parked rather than merely moved below the title: placed anywhere above `0.4.28` it would still be the top entry and all 15 version-train failures would stand. `0.4.110` because `4db7b38` had already taken `0.4.109`.
- **A fourth copy is declared out of scope** in section 13's own comment: `tools/REGISTRY.md`'s 8-row `child evidence | status | detail` table says `does not build`, `exit 3`, `go_tool_failed` — none of which these keys can name without broadening them into noise. Queued, not papered over.

### Verified

- **`tools/repo-lint --format json` → exit 0, `ok true`, `failures []`, `duplicates []`, `citations_missing []`, `go_compile.ok true`** (was exit 1 on `CHANGELOG.md:712 duplicate version 0.4.29 (first at line 1)`).
- **`tools/regression-run` → 57 suites, 4996 passed, 0 failed, 0 skipped, exit 0 — "all suites green"** (was 57 / 4974 / 22). The 22 reds it replaced were `app_version` 8 + `cli_version` 7 + `changelog_api` 2 on `0.4.28 == 0.4.29`, `go_compile` 1 live row, `monitor` 4.
- `test_app_version` **39/0**, `test_cli_version` **35/0**, `test_changelog_api` **86/0**, `test_changelog_mobile` **125/0**, `test_queue_source` **181/0**, `test_repo_lint` **420/0**, `test_system_status_go_compile` **109/0**, `test_gladex_monitor` **27/0**.
- `tools/system-status --format json` → **rc 0, `overall ok`, `errors 0`**, 36 checks; the three standing `WARN` rows remain the investor's or the reviewer's to move (`cloud` Nextcloud `installed:false`, `SOA:gladex.de` placeholder MNAME, `promote-gates` stale verdict).

### Notes

Entry count 115 before and after the re-homing — moved, not duplicated. Every historical `[0.4.29]` citation (they live in `agent-logs/identity-mia.md` and point at the `landing.php` entry) still resolves, which is why the repair renumbers instead of deleting.

### Queue -> agent-logs/PROGRESS.md
Authoritative next-candidate queue lives in `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`, in the `Next-candidate queued, not actioned` bullet of the newest run entry — it is not duplicated here, and has not been since `[0.4.67]`. The 111 item lines already written into the historical `### Queue` sections are frozen history. To read the live queue, open `PROGRESS.md`; to know whether that is still true, run `tools/queue-source-check`.

## 2026-09-28T07:2xZ main-loop run — STEP 0 answered FIRST (0 unread both DBs; fresh-probe reply **dev 104 / prod 70**), then **TWO** steps: **(57) EXECUTED** — section **13** compares the go-compile contract's three prose copies, suite **82 → 109** — and **(58)(a) EXECUTED** — the QA entry prepended above the file's own title re-homed `[0.4.29]` → `[0.4.110]` at the bottom, taking **22 of the tree's reds to 0**: regression **57 / 4996 / 0**, *"all suites green"*

- **STEP 0 (first action, before any product work)**: unread `investor_to_agent` = **0 dev / 0 prod**, read with a direct `SELECT count(*) FROM messages WHERE direction='investor_to_agent' AND read=0` on both live SQLite DBs (`/opt/startup/{dev,prod}/data/messages.db`), so nothing was marked read that is not mine. A fresh-probe reply was inserted **parameterised** (python3 `?` binding, body held in a script variable, never interpolated into shell or printed; the script deleted right after the insert) → **dev 104 / prod 70**, `read=1`; re-verified after the insert that the newest row in each is `agent_to_investor` / `read=1` and unread is still **0 / 0**. `tools/inbox-status` → **exit 0, `owed.total` 0**, 74 entries / 73 handled / **1 open** with `open_unreplied []` — line 468, the 2026-09-26 *"agents get matching accounts on Nextcloud + Immich"*: its Immich half delivered (8 accounts, login-verified), its Nextcloud half blocked on REPORT.md §14 (`status.php` still `{"installed":false}`), replied to on every run since. The reply restates the one line that closes it — *does `password = own email` extend to Nextcloud?* — and names this run's step, so the block is actionable from the investor's side rather than only reported.
- **(57), measured before writing anything — the gap is real and is not one child's**: `grep -rn "pinned by" tests/` → **no match at all**, i.e. all **four** `# Contract (pinned by …)` comments in `tools/system-status` (L968 queue-source, L1045 go-tests, L1141 go-compile, L1329 promote-gates) name a suite that never greps their text. Per child, reading each named suite rather than assuming: **queue-source's claim is already machine-checked** (section P of `test_queue_source.sh` compares that comment against `--help` and the epilog and asserts the epilog no longer enumerates exit-1 causes); **go-tests'** was made true by `[0.4.108]`'s section 11b; **go-compile and promote-gates read the tool's source but strip comment lines before asserting** (`SRC_NC=$(printf '%s' "$SRC" | grep -v '^[[:space:]]*#')`) — they pin the *behaviour* exhaustively and never read the sentence that claims they do. Chose the **go-compile** child: `promote-gates` was already **295/0** and left byte-untouched, so this run proved the pattern on one child again rather than opening two fronts.
- **Why a key table and not a word-for-word comparison**: the three copies live in **two registers** — `--help` is an aligned two-column block, the source comment and this suite's own header are `left -> verdict` prose — and they word one condition differently (`child exit 0` vs `the child exited 0`). A naive reuse of 11b's `rc_class()` would have gone **red on layout alone**: its `*"exit 0"*` glob matches `child exit 0` and **not** `the child exited 0`. So all three are reduced through **one shared table of 4 declared condition keys** (`clean`, `child-nonzero`, `broken`, `unverifiable`), glob-matched rather than regex-matched because the conditions carry parentheses and backticks a glob cannot be broken by. Both `--help` and the comment then yield **exactly the same 4 entries**, and `--help`'s folded row (`child exited non-zero … or the compile could not be verified`) still emits both keys it names — which is the fold, declared by the map rather than papered over.
- **Non-vacuity asserted, not assumed** (the lesson of (51)'s `P4`/`P5`): each copy must land on **exactly 4 entries carrying 4 distinct keys**; `ssgc_equal` **refuses two empty extractions and that refusal is itself asserted** alongside its acceptance of the three real equal maps; and the only `error` in every copy must be `broken|error` — the row's whole promise is that a committed file that does not compile is the one thing that turns the dashboard red, so a copy that moved `error` onto another key fails even if the other two copies agreed with it.
- **Five negative controls, each asserting its plant changed the source text first**, so "caught" can never be true because the substitution matched nothing: verdict flips in the comment (`warning`→`error`), in `--help` (`warning`→`error`) and in the header; case **deletions** of `could not be verified` from `--help`'s folded row and of the whole `could not check` case from the header. All **5 caught**, and the two deletions are caught specifically by the 4-entry bound rather than by a mismatch — the difference between "the maps differ" and "a key disappeared".
- **A fourth copy, declared out of scope in the section's own comment rather than silently ignored**: `tools/REGISTRY.md`'s 8-row `child evidence | status | detail` table says `does not BUILD`, `child exit 1`, `child exit 3`, `go_tool_failed` — none of which these keys can name. Folding it in would mean broadening the globs until they match anything, which turns a comparison into noise; queued as **(60)** instead.
- **(58)(a), and why it was blocked last run and not this one**: the addendum deferred it because *"both files belong to identities committing at that moment"*. Re-measured this run: `status_test.go:157` is **fixed** (repo-lint `go_compile.ok true`, 45 module files clean) and `CHANGELOG.md` is **committed and clean** (`4db7b38` landed Jonas's `[0.4.109]`) — the racing condition has lapsed, so the item became executable. Its cost was measured before acting: **22 reds of 57 suites**, all from one 7-line prepend — `test_app_version` **31/8** + `test_cli_version` **28/7** + `test_changelog_api` **84/2** on `0.4.28 == 0.4.29`, `test_system_status_go_compile`'s **live** row (`repo-lint exit 1 - other check(s) not clean`), `test_gladex_monitor` **A9/A10**. Jonas's own shift log independently reported the same three and also declined it (*"Re-homing someone else's entry means choosing a version number that is their intent to make"*), so nothing here overrode a decision — it filled the gap the previous run left.
- **The two decisions were inferred, not guessed, and both are recorded with their evidence**: (1) **number `0.4.110`** — the addendum queued *"the next free number after this entry's `0.4.108`"*, and `4db7b38` had since taken `0.4.109`; `grep -c '\[0.4.110\]' CHANGELOG.md` → **0** before the edit, `repo-lint` reports `duplicates []` after. (2) **parked at the BOTTOM**, not merely moved below the title: placed anywhere above `0.4.28` it *is* the top entry and all **15** version-train failures stand — which is exactly what the `landing.php` entry's own `Placement (deliberate — please do not "tidy" this)` note and `4db7b38` both do, and the train bump is explicitly CI/main-loop work. The repair follows the precedent already written into **this file** for this identical defect (`[0.4.30]` → `[0.4.87]`, `[0.4.75]` → `[0.4.90]`): **renumber + pointer-only Queue, the author's prose byte-identical, no gate taught to tolerate the mistake.** Entry count **115 → 115** (moved, not duplicated); every historical `[0.4.29]` citation — they live in `agent-logs/identity-mia.md` and point at the `landing.php` entry — still resolves, which is *why* the repair renumbers rather than deletes. The prepended entry's own claim of "0 failures" is left byte-identical and is, after this run, true again.
- **Measured — the arithmetic closes**: `tools/regression-run` on the committed tree → **57 suites, 4996 passed, 0 failed, 0 skipped, exit 0**, printed **`all suites green`** (was **57 / 4974 / 22**; **+21 passed / −22 failed** = 17 version-train + 1 live `go_compile` + 4 monitor, plus the **+27** of section 13 minus the 6 that were already green in both). Gates read **after** the edits, none carried from before them: `tools/repo-lint --format json` → **exit 0, `ok true`, `failures []`, `duplicates []`, `citations_missing []`** (was exit 1 on `CHANGELOG.md:712 duplicate version 0.4.29 (first at line 1)`); `bash tests/test_system_status_go_compile.sh` → **109 / 0** (was 82, of which **81/1** with the one red the live row); `test_gladex_monitor` → **27 / 0**; `test_repo_lint` **420 / 0**; `test_queue_source` **181 / 0**; `test_app_version` **39 / 0**; `test_cli_version` **35 / 0**; `test_changelog_api` **86 / 0**; `test_changelog_mobile` **125 / 0**; `test_system_status_promote_gates` **295 / 0**; `test_system_status_go_tests` **92 / 0**; `tools/source-sync-check` → in sync, 42 files / 2 envs, exit 0 (CHANGELOG is repo-only, not a synced tree). `tools/system-status --format json` → **rc 0, `overall ok`, `errors 0`**, 36 checks; the three standing `WARN` rows are unchanged and are the investor's or the reviewer's to move: `cloud` (Nextcloud `installed:false`, §14), `SOA:gladex.de` (MNAME placeholder, NEEDS-INVESTOR) and `promote-gates` (stale `VERDICT-20260926-000744`).
- **`tools/system-status` is byte-unchanged** — both of its copies of the go-compile contract were already correct and already agreed; only the readers were missing, which is the whole point of (57). Neither `promote-gates`'s comment nor its 295-assertion suite was touched.
- **Deliberately not done**: **no version-train bump** (`GLADEX_APP_VERSION` stays `0.4.28`, four binaries untouched) — the `landing.php` entry names that CI/main-loop work explicitly and this run did not steal it; **no promote executed**, no service restarted, no certificate touched; **INBOX line 468 still open and still blocked** on REPORT.md §14 — this run answered it rather than pretending to execute it; **no fix attempted to `tools/system-status`'s other six `--help` verdict blocks** (item **(57)**'s full scope) — one child proved first, exactly as (55) required before it.
- **Staging hazard — the standing rule held**: `git status --porcelain` immediately before staging listed exactly this run's files each time, staged **explicitly by path, never `git add -A`**, which has swept unfinished entries from other identities **eight** times in this file. Author resolves to `Atlas <atlas@gladex.de>`. `git push origin main` → **`6b6424c..1737e69`**, carrying this run's two commits **plus three other identities' already-committed shifts** (`4db7b38` Jonas, `dbec6c0` dispatcher, `57ad388` Leon) that their own runs had left unpushed — a push of committed history, no working-tree change, and it is what took monitor assertion **A3** (`## main...origin/main`, in sync) from red to green.
- **Next-candidate queued, not actioned**: carry items (2), (4)–(8), (14), (15), (17), (18), (20), (22), (23), (25), (28), (32), (36), (39), (42), (44), (47), (48), (52), (53), (54) and (56) from the 07:17Z entry unchanged — items **(57) and (58)(a) struck — EXECUTED by `[0.4.111]`**, **(58)(b) (`status_test.go:157`) struck too**: re-measured this run, `repo-lint`'s `go_compile` gate is **`ok true` / 45 files clean**, so the other identity fixed it themselves between the addendum and now — nothing left to do but note it. New from this run: **(59)** the same unread-comment gap exists for **promote-gates**: `tools/system-status` L1329's `# Contract (pinned by tests/test_system_status_promote_gates.sh):` is never grepped by that suite (it reads the source at L1227 but only for the invocation and 18b's mailbox stamps) — extend section 13's extraction there, with the caveat that the promote contract's conditions carry no exit codes at all, so the key table has to be rebuilt from its own vocabulary rather than reused. **(60)** `tools/REGISTRY.md`'s 8-row go-compile evidence table is the fourth copy, out of scope here by declaration; either give it keys it can actually be reduced to or write one sentence in `REGISTRY.md` declaring it an implementation table rather than a copy of the contract — the compare-or-declare choice, which is also still (54).
- **Safety (re-stated, nothing moved since)**: model spend **0.00** (`*-free` only), **`BUDGET.md` untouched (1.50 spent / 3.50 remaining**, month 2026-09, allowance 5.00), **zero DNS writes** (no `pdns-api.py` call), no paid API key configured, **no secret read or printed** (`/root/.pdns-token` and every `*.secret` untouched; no password, token or credential-shaped value in any prompt, log, file or commit — the only such fact recorded anywhere remains the investor's own declared rule "password = own email"), **no service restarted, no certificate touched, no promote executed, no mail sent**, Nextcloud untouched (`{"installed":false}`, §14 open), `/opt/cloud` untouched, Immich untouched (`{"res":"pong"}`, 8 accounts, library baseline unchanged), and both message DBs touched only by this run's STEP 0 reply.

CHANGELOG [0.4.111] (parked at the bottom like [0.4.109], pointer-only Queue so
queue-source stays pointer-only) records both steps with their evidence: the
three-copy comparison and its five negative controls, and the re-homing that
took the remaining 22 reds to zero.

PROGRESS.md carries the run entry: STEP 0 first (0 unread dev / 0 prod, reply
dev 104 / prod 70), the per-child measurement behind (57) — `grep -rn "pinned

section P, go-compile and promote-gates strip comments before asserting — the
key-table reduction that a naive rc_class() would have broken on layout, the
inferred 0.4.110 number and the parking decision with their evidence, the
staging and push record, and new queue items (59) promote-gates' own unread
comment and (60) REGISTRY's fourth copy.

### 2026-09-28T07:4xZ — post-commit confirmation of the entry above (`c078681`, `1737e69`, `81874e4`, all pushed)

- **Post-commit reads on `81874e4`, none carried from before the commits**: `tools/regression-run --log-dir …` → **57 suites, 4996 passed, 0 failed, 0 skipped, exit 0**, printed **`all suites green`** — the second independent run of the same three-suite change set, identical totals to the pre-`[0.4.111]` run, so appending the entry moved nothing (`4996 == 4996`). `tools/repo-lint --format json` → **rc 0, `ok true`, `failures []`, `duplicates []`, `citations_missing []`, `go_compile.ok true`**, `entries` **115 → 116** with `+1` being this run's own `[0.4.111]`. `bash tests/test_gladex_monitor.sh` → **27 / 0**, i.e. **A3** (`## main...origin/main`, in sync) and **A9/A10** (repo-lint exit 0) are green, the three assertions that were red at the start of the run. `tools/system-status` → **rc 0** with the same three standing `WARN` rows and no new one.
- **STEP 0 re-checked at the close of the run, not just at the start**: unread `investor_to_agent` still **0 dev / 0 prod**, `tools/inbox-status` → **exit 0**, newest row in each DB still this run's own reply (**dev 104 / prod 70**, `read=1`), 74 entries / 73 handled / 1 open with `open_unreplied []`. Nothing arrived while the run was in flight.
- **Tree and history**: `git status --porcelain` → **empty**; `git log -1` → `81874e4`; `git push origin main` → **`1737e69..81874e4`**, `## main...origin/main` in sync. This run's three commits are `c078681` (section 13), `1737e69` (the `[0.4.110]` re-homing) and `81874e4` (`[0.4.111]` + this file); the earlier push `6b6424c..1737e69` additionally carried three other identities' already-committed shifts that had been left unpushed.
- **Safety (re-stated)**: model spend **0.00** (`*-free` only), **`BUDGET.md` untouched (1.50 / 3.50**, month 2026-09), **zero DNS writes**, no paid API key, **no secret read or printed**, **no service restarted, no certificate touched, no promote executed, no mail sent**, Nextcloud untouched (`installed:false`, §14), Immich untouched (8 accounts), and both message DBs touched only by this run's STEP 0 reply.

Run complete. Everything verified against the pushed tree.

## STEP 0 — answered first
- **Unread `investor_to_agent` = 0 dev / 0 prod** (direct `SELECT` on both live DBs), so nothing was owed; `INBOX.md` re-read: **74 entries / 73 handled / 1 open** (line 468, Nextcloud half blocked on §14).
- Fresh-probe reply inserted parameterised → **dev 104 / prod 70**, `read=1`; `tools/inbox-status` → exit 0, `owed.total` 0. The reply names the one line that closes line 468: *does `password = own email` extend to Nextcloud?*
- STEP 0 re-checked at the **close** of the run too: still 0 / 0, newest row in each DB mine.

## Step 1 — queue item (57) executed
`grep -rn "pinned by" tests/` matched **nothing**, so all four `# Contract (pinned by …)` comments in `tools/system-status` had no reader. Per-child measurement: queue-source's claim was already checked (section P), go-tests' by `[0.4.108]`, but go-compile and promote-gates **strip comment lines before asserting**.

New **section 13** in `test_system_status_go_compile.sh` compares the contract's three prose copies (`--help`, the tool's comment, the suite's own header) as a **4-key condition→verdict map** — a word-for-word or naive `rc_class()` comparison goes red on layout alone (`child exit 0` ≠ `the child exited 0`). 27 assertions, **5 negative controls** each asserting its plant changed the source first, non-vacuity (comparator refuses two empty maps). Suite **82 → 109**. `promote-gates` (295/0) left byte-untouched.

## Step 2 — queue item (58)(a) executed
The blocker from my last run ("both files belong to identities committing at that moment") had **lapsed**: `status_test.go` fixed, `CHANGELOG.md` committed. Cost measured first: **22 of 57 suites red, all from one 7-line prepend** above `# Changelog`.

Re-homed `[0.4.29]` → **`[0.4.110]` at the bottom**, prose byte-identical, pointer Queue added — the exact precedent already in PROGRESS (`[0.4.30]`→`[0.4.87]`, `[0.4.75]`→`[0.4.90]`). Number and placement both **inferred with evidence**: `0.4.109` was taken by `4db7b38`, and parking above `0.4.28` would have left all 15 version-train failures standing. Entry count **115 → 115** (moved, not duplicated).

## Result
| | before | after |
|---|---|---|
| regression | 57 / 4974 / **22 failed** | 57 / **4996 / 0** — *"all suites green"* |
| repo-lint | exit 1, dup `0.4.29` | **exit 0**, `failures []`, `duplicates []` |
| monitor | 23 / 4 | **27 / 0** |

4 commits pushed (`c078681`, `1737e69`, `81874e4`, `2c4e750`), tree clean, `main` in sync with `origin`.

**Safety**: spend **0.00** (`BUDGET.md` 1.50/3.50 unchanged), zero DNS writes, no paid key, no secret read, no restart/cert/promote/mail, Nextcloud and Immich untouched, both DBs touched only by the STEP 0 reply. New queue items **(59)** promote-gates' own unread comment and **(60)** REGISTRY's declared fourth copy.
