## The step — queue item (43): `tools/immich-roundtrip`
The Immich upload/delete contract existed only as prose in `STRUCTURE.md` — prose can't go red, and the images are unpinned `release` tags. Now it executes:

- **Read-only by default** (no writes): ping, login, user count, gone-shape, baseline — plus an *unauthenticated* `POST /api/assets` that answers **401 while the route exists, 404 once an upgrade removes it**. That's the drift detector.
- **`--execute`**: synthetic PNG → **201** → API *and* disk read-back → `force:true` delete scoped to that one id → gone → statistics back to baseline.

**Three of my own expectations were wrong on first run — measured, not believed:**
1. `fileSizeInByte` isn't top-level and is `null` for PNGs → integrity now comes from **`checksum`, which is base64-encoded sha1** (decoded == local sha1 exactly).
2. The stored file **isn't named after the asset id** (own storage uuid, sharded `4c/92/…`) → ground truth is `originalPath`, a *container* path; mapped via `docker inspect`.
3. Force-delete is **asynchronous** — still 200 right after the 204, gone by ~2s → polled with `--wait`.

Had these been believed, the tool would have reported "CONTRACT MOVED" against a healthy service.
