 - **Regression on the frozen tree, before this entry was written**: `./tools/regression-run --format json --log-dir /tmp/opencode/q49/regr` → **55 suites, 4820 passed, 0 failed, 0 skipped, exit 0**, `conflicts []`, all 55 `ok` — the green baseline **55 / 4787** plus **exactly +33**, this run's own assertion count, split **31 shell = 3320 / 24 PHP = 1500** (PHP unmoved, because this step touches only a shell suite): `4787 + 33 = 4820`, `3287 + 33 = 3320`, `1500 = 1500`, `55 = 55`.
 - **Docs**: `CHANGELOG.md` gained **`[0.4.104]`** parked at the bottom like `[0.4.29]`–`[0.4.103]` with the pointer-only `### Queue` section, every `[x.y.z]` token it cites pre-grepped against the heading list; `tools/REGISTRY.md` gained the R6/R7 rows, two **Design** bullets (why R1–R4 are blind; what the census can and cannot prove — including *"R7 does not catch duplicates"*), the 11-key JSON paragraph, the widened exit-1 bullet and both `Status` lines (155/155 with the replay figures); this file gained the entry above.
 - **Deliberately not done**: **`parse()` untouched** — R6/R7 read what it already records, so the fence logic, the freeze, `newest_section` and the `detail` sentence keep their bytes and the 122 assertions pinning them are unchanged; **no renumbering** (see (50)); `tools/system-status`'s `--help` and its source comment still name only the original three exit-1 causes (see (51)); **no new top-level JSON key, no `detail` change, no `FROZEN_ITEMS` change**, no promote, no service restart, no certificate touched, **zero DNS writes**, no mail sent, Nextcloud untouched (`installed:false`, §14 open), `/opt/cloud` untouched, Immich untouched (`{"res":"pong"}`, 8 accounts, library baseline unchanged).
 - **Staging hazard — the standing rule held**: `git status --porcelain` read immediately before staging decides the paths, and it reads exactly this run's four files (`CHANGELOG.md`, `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`, `tools/REGISTRY.md`, `tools/queue-source-check`, `tests/test_queue_source.sh`); files are staged **explicitly by path, never `git add -A`**, which has swept unfinished entries from other identities **eight** times in this file — including the loop's own safety net at `d9d0d58`. Author resolves to `Atlas <atlas@gladex.de>`.
-- **Next-candidate queued, not actioned**: carry items (2), (4)–(8), (14), (15), (17), (18), (20), (22), (23), (25), (28), (32), (36), (39), (42), (44), (47) and (48) from the 00:25Z entry unchanged — item **(49) struck — EXECUTED by `[0.4.104]`** (`duplicate_queue_sections` per entry, `count_queue_headings()` census with `raw == sections + fenced`, `rules` 8 → 11 keys mirrored into the usage object by H16, epilog + docstring + `REGISTRY.md` rules table/Design/JSON/exit-1/Status, suite 122 → 155 with section N and mutants M11/M12, pre-fix replay **129 / 26** with eight self-identifying guards, regression **55 / 4820 / 0**). New from this run: **(50)** one tool now carries **three** rule-numberings — the docstring and `REGISTRY.md` say R1–R7, the source comments still carry an older R1–R9 layout (frozen = "R4", the pointer rules = "R5 / R6 / R7", the bullets rule = "R9"), and `tests/test_queue_source.sh` quotes *both* (`R5 prose` at line 419, `R9` at lines 386 and 588) — so a citation like "R9's rule" is ambiguous between two different rules, which is exactly the epilog-copy defect `[0.4.59]` closed applied to numbering; worth one step that renames the source comments to the docstring scheme **and** the suite's comments with them, verified by grepping that only one scheme remains, not actioned this run because a rename across three documents and two suites would have changed the meaning of the assertions this step was busy adding. **(51)** the exit-1 sentence now has **four** copies — `tools/queue-source-check`'s epilog (updated), `tools/REGISTRY.md`'s exit-1 bullet (updated), `tools/system-status`'s `--help` prose and its source comment (**not** updated, both naming only the original three causes) — and nothing compares them, so the next exit-1 cause will leave two of the four quietly stale; worth either a test extracting the cause list from the epilog and the three prose copies, or deleting the prose copies in favour of pointing at `violations[]`, not actioned here because rewording a second tool's `--help` is its own reviewable change.

### 2026-09-28T01:36Z — post-commit confirmation of the entry above (`3271852`, tree clean, pushed)

- **Post-commit reads on `3271852`, none carried from before the commit**: `tools/repo-lint --format json` → **exit 0, `ok true`, `files_total 199`**, `changelog_version` **`entries 109, unique 109, duplicates [], citations_missing []`** (`citations_seen 3186`) — the **108 → 109** movement the pre-commit read could not see, with `failures []` and `errors []`, which is also the read that proves the `[0.4.104]` token cited inside `tools/REGISTRY.md` resolves against a heading committed with it (it was pre-grepped before the commit, not assumed). `tools/queue-source-check` → **exit 0**, *"[0.4.104] pointer-only, 111 item line(s) frozen across **61** section(s), **67** PROGRESS bullet(s)"*, and its JSON carries the new pair this step exists to report: `queue_headings_raw` **62**, `queue_headings_fenced` **1**, `queue_sections` **61**, `duplicate_queue_sections` **0** — **62 == 61 + 1** (raw 61 → 62 is this entry's own pointer section), i.e. the tool now prints the arithmetic `[0.4.103]` had to compute with `grep` and `sed`.
- **The committed bytes are the bytes that were tested**: `md5sum` of the five files → **`25a4a240f62f0c3f371196ff31665b3f`** (`CHANGELOG.md`), **`ea4a72b48f31bf4a59fc351ac9a874d4`** (`agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`), **`69b80ecf1fc66f5d7e1104c70817cbb8`** (`tools/REGISTRY.md`), **`dbde5b00333ff3e7f4b46c949ffc28e8`** (`tools/queue-source-check` — the same digest the pre-fix replay restored), **`dbdb7c509730896ee9855807d4a608b8`** (`tests/test_queue_source.sh`) — each **identical to `git show HEAD:<path>`**, so the entry, the queue bullet, the registry paragraphs, the tool and the 155-assertion suite are in history exactly as written. Suites re-run **after** the commit, against those bytes: `bash tests/test_repo_lint.sh` → **420 / 0**, `bash tests/test_queue_source.sh` → **155 / 0**, `php tests/test_changelog_api.php` → **86 / 0**, `php tests/test_changelog_mobile.php` → **125 / 0 / 0**.
- **Regression, taken on the final tree rather than carried from the first read**: two runs, the second after this entry's own `PROGRESS.md` append — `/tmp/opencode/q49/regr` and `/tmp/opencode/q49/regr2` → **55 suites, 4820 passed, 0 failed, 0 skipped, exit 0**, `conflicts []`, all 55 `ok`, identical totals **and** identical per-kind splits (**31 shell = 3320 / 24 PHP = 1500**) across both, so a documentation append moved nothing. Baseline closure stands: **54 / 4637 + 150 = 55 / 4787**, then **4787 + 33 = 4820** — this step's own assertion count, with `1500 = 1500` because PHP was not touched.
- **`tools/system-status --format json` → rc 0, `overall ok`, `errors 0`**, 36 checks / 33 ok / the standing three warnings (`cloud` — Nextcloud `installed:false`, §14; `SOA:gladex.de` — MNAME placeholder, NEEDS-INVESTOR; `promote-gates` — stale reviewer verdict, re-review is the reviewer's, not mine). `tools/source-sync-check` → in sync, `drift false`, 42 files / 2 envs (no synced tree touched, so no sync and no promote follow a documentation-plus-tool commit).
- **This commit was mine**: `git status --porcelain` immediately before staging listed exactly the five files, they were staged **by path**, and `git commit` landed as **`3271852`** with the descriptive message — the loop's `git add -A` safety net did **not** fire this time, so the **ninth** sweep did not happen and the count in this file stays at eight.
- **Push**: `git push origin main` → **`4008386..3271852`** to `git://git.gladex.de/gladex.git`, `main` in sync with `origin/main`, working tree clean. Author resolves to `Atlas <atlas@gladex.de>`.
- **STEP 0 re-checked at the close of the run, not just at the start**: unread `investor_to_agent` still **0 dev / 0 prod** (`SELECT count(*) … AND read=0` on both DBs), `tools/inbox-status` → **exit 0** (**owed 0**; 74 entries / 73 handled / 1 open, `open_unreplied []`, line 468 — the Nextcloud half of the account ask, replied and blocked on REPORT.md §14), newest row in each DB my own fresh-probe reply (**dev 100 / prod 66**, `read=1`, ts `2026-09-28 00:44:53`). Nothing arrived while the run was in flight.
- **Safety (re-stated, nothing moved since)**: model spend **0.00** (`*-free` only), **`BUDGET.md` untouched (1.50 spent / 3.50 remaining**, month 2026-09, allowance 5.00), **zero DNS writes** (no `pdns-api.py` call), no paid API key configured, **no secret read or printed** (`/root/.pdns-token` and every `*.secret` untouched — this step created no credential of any kind, and the only credential-shaped fact recorded anywhere remains the investor's own declared rule "password = own email"), **no service restarted, no certificate touched, no promote executed, no mail sent**, Nextcloud untouched (`{"installed":false}`, §14 open), `/opt/cloud` untouched, Immich untouched (`/api/server/ping` → `{"res":"pong"}`, 8 accounts, library baseline unchanged), and the message DBs touched only by this run's STEP 0 reply.

c492278 fix: the spend ledger told a stale story and budget-show proved incapable of noticing — BUDGET.md still said 'purchase pending at registrar' + log line 'Awaiting registrar purchase + DNS creds' four days after RDAP showed gladex.de status active (changed 2026-09-20T11:10:57+02:00) and dig verified A/NS/MX live (evidence already in DOMAIN.md), with the same stale claim copied into REPORT.md x2, PRODUCT.md and the REGISTRY example output — the ONE file the investor reads for spend was wrong while its numbers were right (5.00/1.50/3.50); and budget-show, the tool that displays it, had ZERO tests and exited 0 with null JSON on EVERY form of broken ledger (empty file, missing remaining:, non-numeric amount, math mismatch allowance-spent!=remaining, overspend remaining<0, bad month, missing file) despite REGISTRY documenting '1 - General error (file not found, parse error)' — the same documented-contract-is-fiction class as the dns-verify/system-status fixes; fix: budget-show now validates the ledger BEFORE display (month YYYY-MM, bare numeric allowance/remaining, spent: numeric-prefix with prose split into new spent_note so JSON spent is NUMERIC — it was prose, so float(d[spent]) crashed any consumer, allowance-spent==remaining at 2dp, remaining>=0 per brief §4 overspend ban) with each violation naming its field on stderr, exit 1, stdout empty so machines key off the exit code, human format glues € to the amount (was '1.50 (...) €'), documented GLADEX_BUDGET_PATH test hook added (path was hardcoded to /data/repo/BUDGET.md = untestable without editing the live ledger), --help now documents hook+exit codes; ledger corrected: spent-line reads 'registered + DNS live since 2026-09-20', dated log history kept VERBATIM (dated entries are history) with two appended entries recording same-day completion evidence + this correction, numbers unchanged, no money moved; stale copies fixed in REPORT.md rank+budget tables, PRODUCT.md cost table, REGISTRY example; test-first: new tests/test_budget_show.sh run against the UNFIXED tool -> 13 passed/33 failed with every failure being exactly these defects (no hook honored = fixture assertions saw the live file, prose spent, all-invalid-ledgers exiting 0, help missing hook/exit codes), after fix 49/49 green; 2 mutations precondition-asserted: M1 'if errors:' gate defeated (occurs once -> mutant wrongly exits 0) and M2 _math_ok forced true via fixed-string python replace (the line contains [ ] which mangled a sed BRE attempt; precondition asserts exactly once, and post-checks prove it surgical: mutant still rejects the empty ledger AND still accepts the valid one); hermetic: fixtures in trap-cleaned sandbox under ${TMPDIR:-/tmp}/opencode, only case L reads the real ledger and it pins NO amounts (content-agnostic so a future approved purchase cannot spuriously fail it) while proving the real ledger parses/balances/is-negative-checked every run; full regression 22 suites green = 746 assertions 0 failed (shell 307: budget 49 + dns 40 + identity 28 + gate 67 + relay 38 + sync 30 + mx 31 + unread 24; PHP 439); live: budget-show human+json rc 0, /data/tools link rc 0, dev:8000 + prod:8001 /api/budget both serve the corrected ledger (PHP parses it independently: spent 1.5, remaining 3.5, 4 allocations), /budget + /healthz 200 on both, system-status ALL SYSTEMS HEALTHY, source-sync rc 0; REGISTRY §budget-show rewritten (contract/hook/exit nuance/49-assertion suite — old Tests section was three manual live commands); STEP 0 clear first (0 unread dev+prod, 65 HANDLED, 0 unhandled, re-verified at commit); spend 0.00, prod untouched (only the shared ledger data file changed, no PHP modified)

Run complete. Summary:

## STEP 0 — investor answered first
- `investor_to_agent` unread: **0 dev / 0 prod** (direct `SELECT … AND read=0` on both DBs). No order waiting.
- `INBOX.md`: **74 entries / 73 handled / 1 open** — line 468 (Nextcloud half of the account ask), already replied, blocked on `REPORT.md §14` (`status.php` → `{"installed":false}`).
- Fresh-probe reply inserted **parameterised** into both DBs → **dev 100 / prod 66**, `read=1`; re-checked at close of run: still **0 / 0**, `owed.total` 0.

## The step — queue item (49), shipped as `[0.4.104]`
`queue-source-check` could not see a duplicated `### Queue` pointer section — `[0.4.102]` shipped two under one entry while `grep -c` said **61** and the tool read **60** and **exited 0** (suite 122/122, `repo-lint` exit 0).

- **R6** — no `## [x.y.z]` entry owns more than one `### Queue` section → new `duplicate_queue_sections` (counted **per entry**).
- **R7** — `count_queue_headings()` walks the file again with its own fence state: **raw == sections + fenced**, reported as `queue_headings_raw` / `queue_headings_fenced`. Stated honestly in REGISTRY: on today's `parse()` the two readers agree *by construction*, so R7 is a tripwire — **M12** proves it can go red. It does **not** catch duplicates; R6 does.
- `rules` **8 → 11 keys**, mirrored into the exit-2 usage object (**H16**); top-level object still 11 keys; epilog + docstring + `REGISTRY.md` (rules table, two Design bullets, JSON paragraph, exit-1 bullet, both Status lines) updated.

## Measured
- `tests/test_queue_source.sh` **122 → 155 / 0** (H16 1 + section N 23 + M11 3 + M12 6).
- Pre-fix replay (old tool md5 `17541f05…`, restored `dbde5b00…`) → **129 passed / 26 failed**, first line `A20 …`, with **8 self-identifying guards**.
- My own first-draft defect caught and recorded: H16 demanded *all* `rules` values null and failed on `frozen_items_expected` — the assertion was wrong, the tool wasn't.
- Regression, two runs on the final tree: **55 suites / 4820 passed / 0 failed**, `conflicts []`, **31 shell = 3320 / 24 PHP = 1500** (= baseline 4787 **+ exactly 33**).
- Gates after edits: repo-lint 420, queue-source 155, changelog_api 86, changelog_mobile 125, app_version 39, cli_version 35; `source-sync-check` in sync; live tool exit 0 (`raw 62 = sections 61 + fenced 1`, duplicates 0).

## Commits (staged by path, never `git add -A`)
- **`3271852`** — the step (5 files, 623 insertions); `repo-lint` post-commit → **109/109 unique, `citations_missing []`**; all five md5s identical to `git show HEAD:<path>`.
- **`4236914`** — post-commit confirmation.
- Pushed: `4008386..3271852`, then `3271852..4236914`; tree clean.

## Safety / queue
Spend **0.00** (`*-free` only), `BUDGET.md` untouched (1.50/3.50), **zero DNS writes**, no API key, no secret read or printed, no restart/promote/mail, Nextcloud and Immich untouched. New queue items **(50)** (three rule-numberings for one tool) and **(51)** (the exit-1 sentence now has four copies, two of them stale); **(49) struck**.
