  - 2026-09-20: investor APPROVED gladex.de (1.50/mo). Awaiting registrar purchase + DNS creds.
  - 2026-09-20: purchase completed same day — RDAP status active (changed 2026-09-20T11:10:57+02:00), DNS wired via pdns wrapper (A apex/dev/git/info/stats/log/team -> 77.90.15.49, MX 10 gladex.de), dig-verified; DOMAIN.md holds evidence.
  - 2026-09-24: ledger narrative corrected — spent-line still said "purchase pending at registrar" 4 days after registration (queued candidate #1); numbers unchanged (1.50/3.50, no money moved), log history above kept verbatim.
  - 2026-10-01: month rolled per brief §4 (balance resets to 5.00 on the 1st, unspent does NOT roll over). September history above is kept verbatim; September closed at spent 1.50 / remaining 3.50.
  - 2026-10-02: October opened at spent 0.00 / remaining 5.00 because no October charge exists in any file on this box — while gladex.de is a known 1.50/mo recurring cost with NO renewal date recorded anywhere. Figure to be corrected the moment the investor answers REPORT.md §14.
  - 2026-10-12: renewal date MEASURED instead of left open, figure unchanged (0.00 / 5.00, no money moved): (1) DENIC RDAP rdap.denic.de/domain/gladex.de returns exactly ONE event — "last changed 2026-09-20T11:10:57+02:00", i.e. the purchase day already on file — and NO registration/expiration event; (2) controls denic.de ("last changed 2024-12-19T13:33:43+01:00") and bund.de ("last changed 2026-06-17T13:11:54+02:00") return the same one-event shape, so this is how DENIC answers for EVERY .de domain, not a gap in ours; (3) DENIC whois (port 43) prints only "Domain: gladex.de" + "Status: connect" — no expiry field; (4) the IANA RDAP bootstrap (data.iana.org/rdap/dns.json, 592 services) contains no "de" entry and no "denic" service, so the standard bootstrap path rdap.org/domain/gladex.de answers 404 (control: example.com answers 302). Conclusion: NO public registry source can date a renewal — only the investor's registrar account can, so REPORT.md §14 stays open with its question narrowed to the billing cadence. Registry-side, the only anchor on file is registration 2026-09-20 (this log line of 2026-09-20, corroborated by the RDAP timestamp), whose first anniversary falls 2027-09-20 — so no registry-side event lands in October 2026.

## Builder — run 951 — run 949's *"the census is a READING, not a fix"* taken: `tests/test_registry_figure_readers.sh` **section V** runs **seven cross-suite figure readers** (bind the section → read the claim → RUN the named suite → compare), moving the census **1 read → 8 read (17 unread → 10 unread)**, and corrects the `## system-status` figure that this measuring caught (**24 → 26** assertions, *"hermetic and <1s"* → measured **66 s**) — tests + one docs fix + `CHANGELOG.md` **[0.4.340]**, no `app/` file, no suite-count refresh, C42 untouched

- **STEP 0, paid first — owed nothing, no row written.** `SELECT COUNT(*) … WHERE direction='investor_to_agent' AND read=0` → **0 dev / 0 prod** at orientation (06:2x CEST) and again at the close; `./tools/inbox-status` → **rc 0**, `OK - nothing owed (0 unread, 0 open entries all replied)`, last reply **dev 146 / prod 111**; `INBOX.md` → **80 entries / 80 handled / 0 open**. No `agent_to_investor` row inserted in either database, nothing marked read, `INBOX.md` untouched — an empty inbox is answered by the measurement, not by a status row. **Production is 0.4.28** (the investor's 2026-10-05 correction stands): `./tools/version-check` → `OK: dev=0.4.28 prod=0.4.28 (match)`; `./tools/healthcheck` → **dev + prod HEALTHY, HTTP 200**, prod payload `version 0.4.28`; `./tools/budget-show` → **2026-10, allowance 5.00 / spent 0.00 / remaining 5.00**; `./tools/queue-source-check` baseline before this entry → **FAIL by design** (`[0.4.340] is not named in agent-logs/PROGRESS.md` — R8, cleared by this entry); spend **0.00**, free `*-free` models only, no key configured, **no secret or PII in any prompt, file or commit**.

- **Queue read, and why (a⁶) stayed unopened.** This run is loop cycle **1128** (`/data/agent-logs/run-20261014-061713-1128.log`, started **06:17:13 CEST**) — **before** lena's timer **Wed 2026-10-14 08:05:17 CEST**, re-read at **06:57 CEST** (`systemctl list-timers 'identity-run@lena.timer'` → `NEXT Wed 2026-10-14 08:05:17 CEST 1h 8min … PASSED Tue 2026-10-13 18:06:29 CEST`), so the fire is still ahead: **(a⁶) stays unowned and unopened** — no `shift-census`, no `system-status` re-attribution, no `git show --numstat` of an in-window identity shift commit, **no `reset-failed`, no restart, no unit or timer change, no `identity-run.sh`/`sofia-watch` edit**. Queue numbering in the authoritative file ran 950 → **951 (this entry)** with no number skipped: cycles 1127/1128 ↔ runs 950/951. The newest queued line was run 950's handover (*(a⁶) if after the fire, otherwise the census-reading line, otherwise a standing line it can measure without inventing work*), and the census-reading line was measured-cheap, so it is this run's step.

- **The line, and the measurement taken before writing anything: THREE of the unread sections are ALREADY stale, and one of them is the largest figure in the set.** The census's unread list (10 sections) was priced child by child — run each named suite, read its own result line, compare with the `**N assertions**` figure the census reads out of `tools/REGISTRY.md` — and **3 of the 8 nestable ones disagree with their own suite today**: `ip-drift-check` claims **133** while `tests/test_ip_drift_check.sh` prints **136 passed / 0 failed**; `regression-run` claims **347** while `tests/test_regression_run.sh` prints **350 passed / 0 failed**; `repo-lint` claims **473** while `tests/test_repo_lint.sh` prints **487 passed, 0 failed**. The other five agree exactly (`domain-availability-check` **140**, `immich-roundtrip` **160**, `ip-drift-cron` **340**, `pdns-api.py` **175**, `shift-deploy` **132**). This is the practical content of *"the census is a READING, not a fix"*: a reader added for those three sections **lands red on arrival**, and red would be *correct* — the fix is to refresh the figure in the same change as the reader (the section V pairs assert equality, so a stale figure and a new reader cannot both be right). Measured child cost, cheapest first, all rc 0: `ip-drift-cron` **5.5 s** (340), `pdns-api.py` **7.7 s** (175), `domain-availability-check` **9.0 s** (140), `ip-drift-check` **13.2 s** (136 vs 133), `shift-deploy` **17.8 s** (132), `immich-roundtrip` **43.2 s** (160), `regression-run` **62.3 s** (350 vs 347), `repo-lint` **70.2 s** (487 vs 473) — **+229 s** for all eight on a suite that now costs **23 s**, or **+35 s** for the four cheapest. That price, not time, is why this run shipped seven readers and queued the rest.

- **The change: section V, 114 added lines, seven readers + the accounting assertion.** `tests/test_registry_figure_readers.sh` grows `sect()` (extract one `## <name>` section from the registry) and `v_check()` (bind `VAR=…`, take the claim's figure and the first `tests/…` path it names, **run that suite**, compare its own result line) and then covers the **seven cheapest unread sections**: **V2** `budget-show` **89** ↔ `tests/test_budget_show.sh`, **V3** `dns-verify` **40** ↔ `tests/test_dns_verify.sh`, **V4** `disk-show` **90** ↔ `tests/test_disk_show.sh`, **V5** `source-sync-check` **40** ↔ `tests/test_source_sync_check.sh`, **V6** `smtp-relay-probe` **38** ↔ `tests/test_smtp_relay_probe.sh`, **V7** `test_identity_wrapper.sh` **45** ↔ itself, **V8** `promote-dev-to-prod` **44** ↔ `tests/test_deploy_ledger.sh` (the deploy-ledger suite is that section's named reader, not a suite of the same name — the pair is by *named path*, so a section whose reader is another file still counts). **V1** asserts the accounting honestly (`all seven sections are counted READ by figure_readers() now that this file reads them`) and **V9**, last assertion in the file, pins the arithmetic (`V1 + seven figure/child pairs = 15 assertions from section V`) so a reader added later must move the number. The child's **rc is carried in the assertion description, not asserted**: a red child is that child's own failure and would be reported twice if this suite also failed on it — what is asserted is the *figure*, i.e. the registry's claim against what the suite actually printed. **C42's adjacency rule was respected by construction**: no heading added, moved or renamed (`git diff tools/REGISTRY.md | grep -cE '^[+-]## '` → **0**; `## test_registry_coverage.sh` **5414** → `## test_detached_children.sh` **6195**, still adjacent).

- **The second finding, and why the census was worth building: `## system-status`'s own figure was stale by 2, and its speed claim by an order of magnitude.** Pricing `system-status`'s unread section meant reading its first `**N assertions**` claim — the `tests/test_system_status_unread.sh` bullet, which said **24 assertions**, *"hermetic and <1s"* — against the live suite: **26 passed / 0 failed, 66.0 s wall** (measured twice on 2026-10-14). The cause is in the same bullet: the fully-stubbed child `tools/system-status` still costs **7.2 s per run** (wall 7.19 s / user 5.31 s) and that suite drives it **nine** times. Both figures corrected in `tools/REGISTRY.md` (line 3496) with the measurement and the reason written beside them — `24` was true when the tool was lighter, and `<1s` was true before the dashboard grew. This is the same defect class the reader is for, found by the measuring that the reader exists to automate, and it is recorded here rather than smoothed: **the registry's `system-status` section was wrong on the live tree until this run.**

- **The mutation proof — the reader reddens when the figure is wrong, shown, not argued.** `tools/REGISTRY.md` copied to `/tmp/opencode/REGISTRY.mut.bak`, `budget-show`'s figure edited **89 → 88** in the worktree copy, suite re-run → **25 passed / 1 failed, rc 1** with a **single** red `V2b budget-show: the registry's figure equals what tests/test_budget_show.sh produced (want=88 got=89)` — one wrong number, one red, and the other 25 green, so the pair asserts the comparison and not the run. Restored **byte-for-byte** from the backup and re-verified at **89** (suite back to **26 / 0**).

- **Verification, all taken before this entry was written.** `bash tests/test_registry_figure_readers.sh` → **26 passed / 0 failed, exit 0, ~23 s**, census line **`18 section(s) carry a **N assertions** figure; 8 read, 10 unread`** (was **1 read, 17 unread** — the live count fell because readers landed, not because anything was re-pinned; the census line **reports** and is never asserted, so it stayed green while the number dropped, which is the design); `bash tests/test_registry_coverage.sh` → **rc 0, 497 passed / 0 failed** (finished 07:24:45, log `/tmp/opencode/regcov951.log`, re-run on this worktree after all three edits); `bash tests/test_leak_figure_readers.sh` → **41 passed / 0 failed**; `bash -n tests/test_registry_figure_readers.sh` → clean; `./tools/repo-lint` → **rc 0, all 212 linted file(s) parse clean** with **`344 changelog version heading(s), 344 unique, 0 missing`** — the count reads the **COMMITTED** blob, so **345** is the post-commit reading, re-read below, and **0 missing** discharges the **`[0.4.258]` citation watch** this run's `REGISTRY.md` edit re-armed; `bash tests/test_gladex_monitor.sh` → **28 assertions, 19 passed, 9 failed**, with **`PASS A28 no undocumented code commit since the last CHANGELOG commit`** and the nine reds exactly the expected transients — **A3**/**A15** (this run's dirty worktree), **A4**–**A8** (`queue-source-check` failing on the `[0.4.340]`-not-yet-named R8, cleared by this entry), **A12**/**A30** (lena's unreset `identity-run@lena.service` unit, owned by **(a⁶)**); red-watch's last tick **05:00:01Z** reads `passed=19 failed=9` — the same transient set, no new fault. No `app/` file edited → no reviewer gate, nothing to promote; dev and prod untouched at **0.4.28**.

- **Scope and safety, one line each:** the commit is by **explicit pathspec** — `tests/test_registry_figure_readers.sh`, `tools/REGISTRY.md`, `CHANGELOG.md`, `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md` — **never `git add -A`** (shared index; `git status --porcelain` read first and immediately before staging, and it showed exactly those three modified paths and nothing staged by another desk); **`rm` only inside `/tmp/opencode`** — the mutation backup and the three suite logs live there, nothing else created; **no live messages-DB write**, no DNS write, no mail sent, no paid API, no API key configured; **`hiring/queue/` read-only** — 2 proposals `status=proposed`, the investor's seat; **no `systemctl reset-failed`, no restart, no unit or timer change, no `identity-run.sh`/`sofia-watch` edit**; **no `app/` file edited** → no reviewer gate, nothing to promote, dev and prod untouched at **0.4.28**; **`tests/test_registry_coverage.sh` was NOT edited** and **no REGISTRY heading moved** (C42's `nxt` literal needs no change); **the `- Live:` figure stays 109** (no suite added — 110 files in `tests/`, the 110th suite owns the next refresh); spend **0.00**, free `*-free` models only.

- **Queue — next small step (read this first):** **(a⁶) unchanged and NOT consumed by this run** — the next builder run *starting after* lena's timer **Wed 2026-10-14 08:05:17 CEST** runs `./tools/shift-census --format json` **and** `./tools/system-status` **and** `git show --numstat <the in-window identity lena shift commit>` — **clean shift** = the follow-up closes itself; **second consecutive `no-error-line` with shift-authored insertions `0`** = escalate in PROGRESS as the identity-run observability gap on the operator/`identity-run.sh` seat (**still never edit `identity-run.sh` myself**), comparing against **run 942's corrected baseline (1 unit / 1 class `no-error-line` / marker `18:19:03` / `work=1061ins/3files` = 1058 + 2 + 1, shift-authored 0)** plus run 944's live `ownlog=`/`other=` split. **Closed by this run: the census-reading line's cheap half** — 7 of the 17 unread sections now have readers (census **8 read / 10 unread**), and the measuring priced the rest. **NEW, deliberately queued rather than attempted — the remaining 8 nestable readers, cheapest first, with the three stale figures named so the next run refreshes rather than reddens:** `ip-drift-cron` **340** (5.5 s, figure ok), `pdns-api.py` **175** (7.7 s, ok), `domain-availability-check` **140** (9.0 s, ok), `ip-drift-check` **live 136 vs figure 133** (13.2 s, **stale by 3**), `shift-deploy` **132** (17.8 s, ok), `immich-roundtrip` **160** (43.2 s, ok), `regression-run` **live 350 vs figure 347** (62.3 s, **stale by 3**), `repo-lint` **live 487 vs figure 473** (70.2 s, **stale by 14**) — all eight cost **+229 s** on a suite that now runs in **23 s**, the four cheapest **+35 s**; **plus `system-status`'s own section, whose reader `tests/test_system_status_unread.sh` is 66 s** (nine × 7.2 s child runs) — nesting it is exactly what "not fast any more" means, so it stays queued on cost, not on doubt; **plus this suite's own figure** (`## test_registry_figure_readers.sh` **26**, counted by the census and read by nobody — a self-reader cannot live in this file without recursing, so its natural home is `tests/test_registry_coverage.sh`'s section F, which this run did NOT edit, C42 being the reason). - **Close-state:** this entry is appended **before** the commit that carries it (CLOSE PROTOCOL rule 1) and is never `git checkout --`-ed, staged-only or parked in `/tmp` (rules 2–3); the stop-state check is `git status --porcelain` **not listing `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`** after the commit. The push must leave `git rev-list --count origin/main..main` → **0**. Post-commit re-reads (`regcov`, the census suite, `queue-source-check`, `repo-lint`, the monitor, `inbox-status`, `version-check`, `budget-show`, `healthcheck`, `git status --porcelain`, `rev-list`) are recorded in the **close-correction** bullet appended before commit #2 if one is made (rule 2).

Allowance:   5.00 €
Spent: 0.00 € (no October charge in any file — MEASURED 2026-10-12: no public registry source can date a renewal (DENIC RDAP publishes only a "last changed" event, and does so for every .de domain; DENIC whois has no expiry field; the IANA RDAP bootstrap has no "de" entry), so the one open unknown is your billing cadence: monthly 1.50 as brief §4 states, or annual at the 2027-09-20 registration anniversary?
