Spent: 0.00 € (no October charge in any file — MEASURED 2026-10-12: no public registry source can date a renewal (DENIC RDAP publishes only a "last changed" event, and does so for every .de domain; DENIC whois has no expiry field; the IANA RDAP bootstrap has no "de" entry), so the one open unknown is your billing cadence: monthly 1.50 as brief §4 states, or annual at the 2027-09-20 registration anniversary? Still NEEDS-INVESTOR, REPORT.md §14)
  - 2026-10-01: month rolled per brief §4 (balance resets to 5.00 on the 1st, unspent does NOT roll over). September history above is kept verbatim; September closed at spent 1.50 / remaining 3.50.

Writing the run-925 entry to `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md` **before** the commit that carries it (CLOSE PROTOCOL rule 1):
$ cd /data/repo && cat >> agent-logs/PROGRESS.md <<'EOF'

## Builder — run 925 — run 924's queued global-window follow-up lands as **M8** (the window invariant at `--dedup global`, where no assertion read `first_ts` / `last_ts` at all), the OLD suite measured blind to it on the **committed** file rather than from memory

- **STEP 0 paid first, owed nothing — no row written.** Schema re-checked first (table `messages`, direction in its `direction` column), then `SELECT COUNT(*) FROM messages WHERE direction='investor_to_agent' AND read=0` → **0 dev / 0 prod**; `./tools/inbox-status` → **rc 0**, `OK - nothing owed (0 unread, 0 open entries all replied)`, last reply **dev 145 / prod 110**, `INBOX.md` **80 / 80 / 0 open** (`grep '^## ' INBOX.md | grep -cv HANDLED` → **0**); the prompt's `=== UNREAD INVESTOR MESSAGES ===` block is **empty** and both `=== RECENT INBOX ===` entries are `~~HANDLED~~` (newest: the 2026-10-05 hire/version message, handled 2026-10-05T09:05:00Z). **No `agent_to_investor` row inserted in either database, nothing marked read, `INBOX.md` untouched** — an empty inbox is answered by the measurement, not by a status row. **Production is 0.4.28** — `./tools/version-check` → `OK: dev=0.4.28 prod=0.4.28 (match)`; `./tools/healthcheck` → **dev + prod HEALTHY, HTTP 200, `0.4.28` both**; `./tools/budget-show` → **2026-10 5.00 / 0.00 / 5.00**; spend **0.00**, free `*-free` model only (`opencode/mimo-v2.6-flash-free`), no key configured, **no secret or PII in any prompt, file or commit**.

- **The queue read, and why (a‴) is not mine.** Run 924 handed **(a‴)**: *the first run starting after mia's **08:15:44** and sofia's **08:55:48** CEST fires on 2026-10-13 owns one `systemctl --failed` read*. **This run started 2026-10-13 02:52:57 CEST** (measured `date -Is`), i.e. **before both fires**, so **(a‴) is not mine and stays unowned for the next run**. I took **one read-only `systemctl list-timers 'identity-run@*'`** (to date the fires: last fires `Mon 2026-10-12 18:15:39` / `18:55:57`, next `Tue 2026-10-13 08:15:44` / `08:55:48`) and **no `systemctl --failed` read at all**, and there was **no `reset-failed`, no restart, no unit or timer change, no `identity-run.sh` edit**. `./tools/system-status` (a tool read, not the queue's `--failed` read) agrees on the standing red: **`failed-units [FAIL] 2 failed: identity-run@mia.service …, identity-run@sofia.service …`**, **`Overall: 1 CHECK(S) FAILED`** = that row alone, with **`investor-duty [OK] owed=0 unread=0 unreplied=0 open=0`**, **`git-tree [OK] clean`** and **`queue-source [OK] one queue: [0.4.323]`** as read before my edits. What I took instead is the queue's own next unnumbered follow-up, run 924's: *"the same window invariant is now pinned at the `file` level only — `first_ts`/`last_ts` under `--dedup global` come from the SAME `tally()` code but over a different marker set … so a global-only window defect … would still walk past; queued, not attempted."* Everything else standing is investor-gated (**(2'')**; **(93)**/**(97)(a)** — `hiring/queue/` still **2 proposals** in the investor's seat; **§14 renewal** — no DENIC/whois/IANA re-probe; **the LAN-only A/B/C**; **SOA MNAME**, **§14's cadence question**, **Pip's mail-policy research**; **(av)(d)**; **(i)**; **(113)**) or owned elsewhere (run 907's **NUL-blob watch**; **the 106th suite owns the next `- Live` figure refresh**, `tools/REGISTRY.md` reads **105**; **2026-10-20** §10 #6 re-read; run 922's durable-census follow-up).

- **The blindness measured before a line was written, not asserted.** I planted the defect in a copy under `/tmp/opencode/m8/` — the post-collapse re-bucketing `gby.setdefault(identity, []).append((ts, mc))` gaining a position-suffixed key for an identity's second and later markers, i.e. run 923's clean-key class moved into the `global` branch, where the suffixed string is the very `ts` the window is built from — and ran **the committed suite** against it: `git show HEAD:tests/test_shift_tally.sh > /tmp/…/old/test_shift_tally.sh` then `GLADEX_SHIFT_TALLY_TOOL=<planted copy> bash <that copy>` → **123 passed / 0 failed / 1 skipped, exit 0** (the skip is the live-box block, which the copy outside the tree has no `agent-logs` for). The **pre-edit in-tree suite** on the same plant → **128 passed / 0 failed, exit 0**. Two independent readings of the same conclusion: the class was blind. The reason, read off the file first: **no assertion anywhere reads `first_ts` / `last_ts` at `--dedup global`** — `C13`/`C14` are file-level JSON, `G4` is the file-level human render, and section `D` (the global block, `D1`–`D9`) pins only counts, rate, models, identities and the two-level disagreement.

- **The step: M8, one fixture where the global branch is the subject.** `M8_FIX` holds two transcripts that **share the marker across files** — `identity-eta` (`18:00` `m-y` `exit=1`, `19:00` `m-y` `exit=0`) and `identity-zeta` (`17:00` `m-y` `exit=0`, the same `18:00` `m-y` `exit=1`) — so `file` keeps both copies (**4**) and `global` collapses them (**3**), the shape the defect can only act on. Measured real vs planted before asserting anything: **file** `4 2 2` and window `17:00:00 .. 19:00:00` **identical under both** (the file branch is untouched — M7's subject); **global** real `3 2 1`, window `2026-10-10T17:00:00+02:00 .. 2026-10-10T19:00:00+02:00`, planted `3 2 1` — **counts and per-identity table byte-identical** — window `2026-10-10T17:00:00+02:00|1 .. 2026-10-10T19:00:00+02:00`; **main fixture global** real `3 1 2` window `10:00:00 .. 14:00:00`, planted `3 1 2` (same models, same identities) window `10:00:00 .. 14:00:00|1`. So the defect lies **only** in the window, and it leaks at the **head** on `M8_FIX` (the suffix lands on `17:00:00` because `zeta` is re-bucketed after `eta` already holds a marker) while the **main fixture's tail** carries it — both ends therefore get their own assertion rather than one end standing in for the pair. **13 new assertions** (1 baseline + 1 property + 1 precondition + 10 in the block): the baseline (real global window clean at both ends), the property (`|` never in the main fixture's global window), the divergence (`first_ts` = `…17:00:00+02:00|1`), the surgical half (last end clean; **global counts still `3 2 1`** — *"the defect a count assertion cannot see"*; identities still `(1, 1, 0) (2, 1, 1)`; file level still `4 2 2` with a clean file window; corpus gates still `8 6 2 1 1`; missing dir still exit **3**), and the blindness restated as a pin (main fixture global counts stay `3 1 2` under the mutant — why `D2`–`D9` cannot pin it — while its window lies at the tail). `bash tests/test_shift_tally.sh` → **141 passed / 0 failed / 0 skipped, exit 0** (128 → 141).

- **The negative control, because a green mutant run proves nothing on its own:** the new suite pointed at the tool copy that **already carries** the defect (`GLADEX_SHIFT_TALLY_TOOL=/tmp/opencode/m8/mut8`) → **128 passed / 3 failed, exit 1**, the three reds being `M8 baseline … got '…17:00:00+02:00|1 .. …19:00:00+02:00'`, the property (`want 'False' got 'True'`) and `M8 precondition: the post-collapse gby append line was not found exactly once` (its needle is already gone from an already-mutated file, so the control reports rather than skips) — the guard reddens on the bug *in the tool*, not only on a mutant of it.

- **Measured, not trusted: neighbours on the edited tree (after every edit above).** `php tests/test_changelog_mobile.php` **125 / 0** — this entry keeps the longest prose token at the measured **76** chars (an `awk` length scan over the whole file reports **no token above 76**) and adds **no fenced line at all** (`awk 'NR>=10128 && /```/' CHANGELOG.md` → **0**), both pins asserted by that suite; `php tests/test_changelog_api.php` **86 / 0** (reference parse and the app's parser read the same `/data/repo/CHANGELOG.md`, so `[0.4.324]` is seen by both); `php tests/test_app_version.php` **39 / 0**; `./tools/queue-source-check` pre-append → **rc 1, exactly one violation**, `[0.4.324] is not named in agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`, which this entry clears (it names `[0.4.324]`, and the CHANGELOG entry carries its own `### Queue` pointer); `./tools/repo-lint` and `bash tests/test_queue_source.sh` are run at close and recorded in the **close-correction** bullet below if a second commit is made; `bash tests/test_registry_coverage.sh` and `./tools/red-watch` are running in the background and their results land in that same bullet. Suite count is unchanged (no new suite file), so no `- Live:` refresh is owed.

- **Scope and safety, one line each:** commits are by **explicit pathspec, never `git add -A`** (this worktree is shared with sibling desks, and runs 919/920/921/923/924 each had a step split by someone else's sweep) — this run's paths are `tests/test_shift_tally.sh`, `CHANGELOG.md` and `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`. **`tools/shift-tally` was not modified** — the mutant is a copy built in the throwaway sandbox by the suite's own `mutate()`, and the tool stayed read-only; the planted copy and the old-suite copy live under `/tmp/opencode/m8/` and are not in the tree. **No `app/` file edited → nothing to promote, no reviewer-gated deploy, no `promote-dev-to-prod`**; dev and prod untouched (**0.4.28**). **No `systemctl --failed`, no `reset-failed`, no restart, no unit or timer change, no `identity-run.sh` edit** (queue line (a‴) NOT taken); **no `rm`/`rename`/`chmod` outside the sandbox**, **no live messages DB write**, no DNS write, no mail sent, no paid API, no API key configured, `hiring/queue/` untouched (**2 proposals `status=proposed`** — the investor's seat), spend **0.00**, free `*-free` models only.

- **Queue — next small step (read this first):** **one unnumbered follow-up closed (run 924's global-window gap), none invented.** Next, in order: **(a‴)** the **first run starting after mia's (Tue 2026-10-13 08:15:44) and sofia's (08:55:48) fires** owns **one** `systemctl --failed` read → **empty** = the standing order executes (full `./tools/regression-run`, report the **first all-green totals**, naming A12/A30 as cleared), **still red** = read the fresh markers and update the census with their own error string, carrying **run 922's 2-units / 2-classes / 1-shared + 1-ling-specific split** as the baseline to compare against; **still never `reset-failed`, never restart, never edit `identity-run.sh`**; **(b)** **STEP 0 first every run** (today: **0 unread dev / 0 prod**); **A28** must stay clear — this commit carries `CHANGELOG.md` together with its `tests/` path, which is what the docs probe reads as documented; **A12/A30** stay the census's (queue line (a‴)); **A3/A15** clear with whatever unpushed-commit or dirty-tree they were last measured on (this commit's push clears them); **the `- Live:` figure** stays **true at 105** — **the 106th suite owns the next refresh**, and re-check `REGISTRY_COVERAGE_CHILD=1 bash tests/test_registry_coverage.sh` → rc 0 before trusting any figure in that file; **run 922's unnumbered durable-census follow-up** (a `tests/` guard or `tools/` reader that persists "last known failed units + their class") stays queued as its own small step with its own tests and a reviewer gate; **(2'')** the day the `GETTING_STARTED.md` keep/fold/retire answer arrives; **(93)**/**(97)(a)** first if the investor answers `hiring/queue/*.json` (**2 proposals**); **§14 renewal** — no DENIC/whois/IANA re-probe (the 2026-10-12 measurement already narrowed it to the billing cadence); **the LAN-only A/B/C** (`STRUCTURE.md:460`) — quote run 906's figures **110 messages / 189,209 bytes**, no fix without the investor's letter; **NUL-blob watch** (run 907) re-opens **only on a measured harm**; **(av)(d)** after the `REPORT.md` §14 sign-off (**still no `rm` without it**), **(i)** blocked by the live writers until the prune lands; **SOA MNAME**, **§14's remaining cadence question** and **Pip's mail-policy research** stay NEEDS-INVESTOR; **(113)**'s two `cp`s stay operator-blocked; **on 2026-10-20 re-read §10 #6 against the counter's own `downloads.log`** with `./tools/download-stats --format json`; the **`/stats` display row** stays closed while its **`/api/stats`** mirror stays an unwritten, unqueued product decision; **Pip's nine gaps are CLOSED from this desk** (gap 6 the investor's, future-date half a recorded decision, re-open only on a measured regression); **(ax)**, **(e)**, the drift-verify line, **(aw)**, the `promote-gates` verdict watch and run 915's "repo vs both envs" monitor stay closed/queued exactly as previously recorded. **Closed by this run: run 924's unnumbered global-window follow-up** — M8 plus its fixture, over a gap first reproduced by running the committed suite itself against the planted defect. **One new unnumbered follow-up, deliberately not numbered:** `--dedup both` is the tool's **default** mode (`default="both"` in the parser, and `shift-tally` with no flag prints the file line then the global line), yet the only test reference to it is `H3`'s read-only probe whose stdout is sent to `/dev/null` — nothing pins that the default emits **two** lines, in the order **file then global**, each echoing its own `dedup` field, nor that a refusal on one level forces exit **3** even when the other level is fine; queued, not attempted, because this run's step was the global window the queue named.

- **Close-state:** this entry is appended **before** the commit that carries it (CLOSE PROTOCOL rule 1) and is never `git checkout --`-ed, staged-only or parked in `/tmp` (rules 2–3); the stop-state check is `git status --porcelain` **not listing `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`** after the commit. The post-commit re-reads (`repo-lint`, `queue-source-check`, `red-watch`, `bash tests/test_queue_source.sh`, the registry-coverage suite) are recorded in the **close-correction** bullet below, appended before commit #2 if one is made (rule 2). The push that follows must leave `git rev-list --count origin/main..main` → **0**. **Queue line (a‴) is unchanged: still owned by the first run starting after mia's 08:15:44 and sofia's 08:55:48 fires on 2026-10-13 — this run started 02:52 CEST, so it took no `systemctl --failed` read.**

Commit `32b07eb` carries exactly the three paths (`tests/test_shift_tally.sh`, `CHANGELOG.md`, `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`), `tools/shift-tally` untouched, tree clean with the queue entry inside it. Waiting on the two remaining readings — the registry-coverage suite and the post-push `red-watch` — before appending the close-correction bullet and making commit #2.
