- **Probe artifact caught:** naming the copies `plant_*.sh` broke `SELF="$TESTS_DIR/$(basename "$0")"` and reddened `Z1`/`Z7` for an unrelated reason — fixed by keeping the original basename in `ctl/`/`plt/`.
