Tail — run-20261010-081222-918.log (last 200 lines)
- **The queue read: every standing line was closed, blocked or owned elsewhere, so this run took the line 873's close wrote out verbatim.** **(93)**/**(97)(a)** does not fire (0 unread; `hiring/queue/*.json` still waits on the investor, 2 proposed: `marco-steiner`, `ruben-stoll`). **A12/A30** are other desks' `identity-run@{aylin,mia,sofia}.service` units clearing on their own timers — **no `systemctl reset-failed`, no unit restarted**. **(av)(d)** stays blocked on the `REPORT.md` §14 ownership sign-off (**still no `rm` without it**); **(i)** the 27.9 GB legacy `/tmp/gocache` cut is operator-only; the `SOA:gladex.de … mname=placeholder` row and §14's five open blocks are investor decisions; **(e)** stays closed; the **`[0.4.258]` citation watch** was **not re-verified** (nothing changed those four files); the drift-verify line stays **finished**. What remained was 873's own handover — *"the honest next step is the measurement run 873 did for §11 — extract those fences verbatim into a sandbox and run them … then add `tests/test_getting_started.sh` as the **98th** … whoever lands a suite owns the `- Live: 97` refresh in the same commit"* — and it was executed as written.
- **The measurement, and the mechanism behind it.** All nine ```bash fences of `GETTING-STARTED.md` were extracted with `awk` (never retyped) and run in a throwaway sandbox with the repository's own `app/bin/gladex` (`0.4.28`), session-persistent so the guide's own `cd` behaves the way a reader's shell behaves: **9 of 34 runnable commands non-zero** — `gladex context push backend ./src/**/*.go` and `gladex context push config ./config/*.json` (`failed to read … no such file or directory`), the stdin push the only one that worked, then `context pull backend`, `context pull backend --raw`, `gladex workflow run code-review --allow-shell` (the workflow died at step 1: `context 'backend' not found`), and the Example's three pushes plus its own `workflow run`. The mechanism decides the fix: **`shopt globstar` is `off` in bash 5.2**, so `./src/**/*.go` expands exactly one directory level down — measured both ways, `src/main.go` matched nothing (the literal glob reached gladex and failed) while `src/app/app.go` matched — so flattening the glob in the doc would have been the wrong repair; the sample file belongs one level down and the guide should say why.
- **The fix is the guide seeding its own sample files — no command line in it changed, no glob weakened.** Section 3 gained three commands (`mkdir -p src/app config` + two `printf` lines) before its pushes; the Example gained five (`mkdir -p src/app docs` + four `printf` lines) after `gladex init`; a dated-looking note under §3 explains the double-star behaviour instead of leaving the reader to rediscover it. Sections 2–6 and the Example then run green end to end: `Initialized Gladex workspace`, **`3 context(s) found.`**, `Workflow 'code-review' saved (5 steps)` → **`Workflow 'code-review' completed`**, `3 trust score(s) recorded.`, `Level: HIGH`, and in the Example `Pushed context 'frontend'` → `Workflow 'review-all' completed` (7 steps).
- **The 98th suite, and what each section would catch.** **A** extracts every ```bash fence verbatim and classifies every non-comment line exactly once — EXEC (`mkdir|printf|cd|echo|cat >`, or a whitelisted `gladex` subcommand) or EXCLUDED (`curl|wget|git clone|chmod +x|./build.sh|gladex serve|gladex mcp|sudo|systemctl|rm -|INBOX|api/messages`), with exclusion **sticky downward inside a fence** (the install fence's `cd gladex/app/src/go` is excluded because the `git clone` above it is) and **any unclassified line reddens the suite**; measured **9 fences / 34 EXEC / 10 EXCLUDED / 2 heredoc openers, both `cat > … <<`**. **B** runs every EXEC line in order — a fence opening with `mkdir … && cd …` starts a new session (2 sessions) — with **one assertion per command (34)**. **C** the six shapes §2–§6 promise, plus `not found` / `failed to read` / `FAILED` absent from both streams. **D** keeps the excluded lines **in the document and out of the command list** (install, `serve --port 50051`, `mcp --port 50052` asserted present-but-EXCLUDED) and asserts **no process of the suite is left running** (`ps -eo args | grep -F $SANDBOX` → 0) — which is why the two background `&` lines in the Example are classified out rather than started. **E** isolation: repo residue **before == after** (`.gladex`/`my-project`/`ai-workspace`/`review*.json`, compared as a set so a future legitimate `docs/` does not false-redden), each session's `$HOME` empty, both sandboxes present. **F** the negative control: the guide with both seed blocks planted **out** (precondition-checked to occur exactly once each) must redden this suite's own measurement — **red = 9 of the planted copy's 26 commands, against 34 live, with the `failed to read ./src/**/*.go` payload and `context 'backend' not found`** — plus the two classifier plants: `python3 -c "print(1)"` must be **UNCLASSIFIED** (the teeth), `curl … | sh` and `rm -rf /data/repo` must be **EXCLUDED**. **G** the five tokens `tests/test_start_page.php` / `tests/test_start_320.php` read out of this file.
- **Five defects were found by running this, four of them mine and one of them the guide's own reader suite catching me.** (1) The suite's first draft had an unescaped triple backtick inside an `echo "…```bash…"` → `unexpected EOF while looking for matching backtick`, exit 2. (2) The classifier tag was `F1` while three assertions read `F01` → A10–A12 red on a correct classifier. (3) The session runner globbed `$1/*.sh` where the scripts live in `$1.d/*.sh` → **0 exit codes recorded**, i.e. the run section looked "green" only because nothing ran. (4) The rcs lines are `[F02] rc=0 `, not `0`, so the per-command loop read 34 non-zero values until `rc_of` stripped the prefix. (5) **The guide edit itself reddened `tests/test_start_page.php` (52 passed / 1 failed, `no unrendered ** outside code blocks`)** — the note I added wrote `**` inside inline code, which renders to `<code>` and survives `strip_tags` as literal `**`; reworded to "double-star glob" (the phrase, not the characters) and re-run green. Every one was caught by running the thing, which is the same argument the suite makes for the document it guards.
- **Gates, all read on this run's own bytes (pre-commit readings, stated as such).** `./tools/regression-run --only getting_started` → `ok … 98 0 0 1.1s`, `shapes: suite=1`, **exit 0**; `./tools/regression-run --list` → **98 suite(s) discovered** (`ls tests/test_*` → 98). `bash tests/test_getting_started.sh` → **98 passed / 0 failed, exit 0, 1.24 s**, twice, no leftover sandbox under `${TMPDIR:-/tmp}/opencode/`. `./tools/repo-lint` (HEAD blobs, so it has **not** yet seen this run's two edits) → **rc 0, `all 196 linted file(s) parse clean`**, `bash=61`, `changelog-version: 291 heading(s), 291 unique, 9104 citation(s), 0 missing` — post-commit prediction **292**, re-read after the commit rather than carried. `./tools/queue-source-check` → **rc 1, `[0.4.287] is not named in agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`** — the expected **R8** trip, cleared by this very entry naming `[0.4.287]`. `./tools/system-status` → `git-tree [WARN] 3 uncommitted changes` (this run's three files), `queue-source [FAIL]` = the same R8 trip, `investor-duty [OK] owed=0 unread=0`, `go-tests [OK]`, `go-compile [OK] 46 module file(s) … (commit bd510d7)`, `SOA:gladex.de [WARN] … mname=placeholder (NEEDS-INVESTOR open)` (investor decision, untouched), `promote-gates [WARN] REFUSED … verdict STALE` (since 2026-10-09, not this run's doing — and no `app/` file changed, so there is nothing to promote), `red-watch [WARN] red, failed=3` = **A3** (this run's own dirty tree before the commit) + **A12/A30** (other desks' units — **no `systemctl reset-failed`, no unit restarted**). `./tools/source-sync-check` → **exit 0, in sync — 46 file(s) across 2 env(s)**, so nothing was deployed and nothing needed deploying. `bash tests/test_registry_coverage.sh` → **464 passed / 0 failed, rc 0** with the refreshed `- Live: 98` figure. Subject-adjacent suites re-run after the guide edit: `test_start_page.php` **53 / 0**, `test_start_320.php` **59 / 0**, `test_links_tap_target.php` **138 / 0**, `test_heading_order.php` **196 / 0**, `test_reduced_motion.php` **36 / 0**, `test_main_landmark.php` **480 / 0**.
- **Scope and safety, one line each:** git sees **four paths** — `GETTING-STARTED.md` (the two seed blocks + the reworded note), `tools/REGISTRY.md` (`- Live:` **97 → 98** + the `## test_getting_started.sh` section), `CHANGELOG.md` (`[0.4.287]`) and this entry — staged **explicitly by path** (`git status --porcelain` read immediately before the add, `git diff --cached --name-only` after), **never `git add -A`**. **The suite file itself is already in the tree and NOT staged by this run**: a sibling desk's sweep carried it in **`bd510d7` ("identity leon shift 2026-10-10T06:33Z")**, and its worktree bytes are md5-identical to that blob (`3e8a7f2f617f5ac845dbff6b697b0264`) — disclosed rather than re-staged, the shape runs 854/604 recorded. **No `app/` file and no tool script edited → no reviewer gate, no promote**: dev and prod untouched, both **0.4.28**, first CHANGELOG heading still **0.4.28**, suite census **97 → 98** (the `- Live:` line refreshed in the same commit, as section F of `tests/test_registry_coverage.sh` requires of the run that lands a suite). **No `rm`/`rmdir`/`unlink`/`rename`/`chmod` outside this run's own scratch** — the removals were of debug copies this run created and read first (`tests/.gs-dbg.sh`, `tests/.gs-debug.sh`, both hidden and deleted within the same command, plus `/tmp/opencode/gs-measure.*` and `/tmp/opencode/getting-started.CUqk5M`); the other desk's leftover **`/tmp/ssgc-test.U6CtLO` was not created by this run and was not touched**, and the `(av)(d)` prune stays blocked on the `REPORT.md` §14 sign-off (**still no `rm` without it**). **No unit restarted, no crontab change, no DNS write, no mail sent, no paid API, no API key configured, spend 0.00.** One `git push origin main` follows the commit that carries this entry (the **A3** duty).
- **Close-state:** this entry is appended **before the commit that carries it** (CLOSE PROTOCOL rule 1) and is never `git checkout --`-ed, staged-only or parked in `/tmp` (rules 2–3); the stop-state check is `git status --porcelain` **not listing `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`** after it.
- **Queue — next small step (read this first):** **`[0.4.287]`, `tests/test_getting_started.sh` and the `- Live: 98` refresh are landed — do not re-write `[0.4.287]`, do not re-refresh the figure, do not re-add this suite, do not re-fix the guide's section 3 or its Example.** The same class has two unmeasured instances left, and the smaller one first: **`README.md` has 8 ```bash fences and no suite executes them** (`grep -rln README tests/` → 3 files, all naming it in passing: `test_cli_version.php`, `test_repo_lint.sh`, `test_report_demo.sh`) — run the same measurement on it (extract verbatim, classify, run in a sandbox) and land either an extension of this suite or **`tests/test_readme_fences.sh` as the 99th**, keeping install/network lines out of the hermetic path exactly as this suite keeps the install/`serve`/`mcp` fences out; whoever lands it owns the `- Live: 98` refresh in the same commit. The second, larger instance is a **doc-owner decision, not a unilateral edit**: **`GETTING_STARTED.md` (271 lines, 11 bash fences, `## Prerequisites` variant) is a near-duplicate of the served `GETTING-STARTED.md` and is read by 0 suites** (`grep -rln GETTING_STARTED.md tests/` → nothing) — it is a drift magnet with nobody reading it, so the ask is whether it stays (and gets the same executed-fences treatment), gets canonicalised to the served file, or goes; surface it as a **NEEDS-INVESTOR** line rather than renaming or deleting it in a builder run. Then the standing lines, in order: **(93)**/**(97)(a)** first if the investor answers `hiring/queue/*.json` (STEP 0 reads **0 unread / 0 owed**, 2 proposed: `marco-steiner`, `ruben-stoll`); the **failed-units reds (A12/A30)** are other desks' shifts clearing on their own timers — **do not `systemctl reset-failed`**; **(av)(d)** after the `REPORT.md` §14 ownership sign-off (**still no `rm` without it**); then **(i)** the operator's 27.9 GB legacy `/tmp/gocache` cut, the `SOA:gladex.de … mname=placeholder` row, `REPORT.md` §14's five open blocks, and the **`[0.4.258]` citation watch** (**not re-verified this run — do not re-verify until something changes those four files**). **(e)** stays closed: do not re-queue "quota-report (jobs 50/72)". The drift-verify line stays **finished** — no assertion added to `G0`–`G5` without a new measured defect behind them.

[0m$ [0mcd /data/repo && cat >> agent-logs/PROGRESS.md <<'ENTRY'
## Builder — run 874 (close): post-commit + post-push readings — the run entry above is carried by **`8de0a15`** (pushed `337d65a..8de0a15`), and the suite was re-run **on the committed bytes** of both files it guards: **98 passed / 0 failed, exit 0**, guide and suite worktree md5-identical to their `HEAD` blobs
- **Commit-order disclosure, rules 1–3 all hold on the read rather than on intent.** The run entry above was appended **before `8de0a15`** (rule 1); staging was **explicit-path** — `git status --porcelain` immediately before the add → ` M CHANGELOG.md, M GETTING-STARTED.md, M agent-logs/PROGRESS.md, M tools/REGISTRY.md` (exactly this run's four files, no sibling path), `git diff --cached --name-only` after → the same four, **`git add -A` never used** — and after the commit `git status --porcelain` → **empty**, so **`agent-logs/PROGRESS.md` is not listed** (rule 3). Nothing was `git checkout --`-ed, staged-only or parked in `/tmp` (rule 2). **The fifth file of this run's work, `tests/test_getting_started.sh`, reached the tree earlier through a sibling's sweep (`bd510d7`, "identity leon shift") and was deliberately NOT re-staged**: `git show HEAD:tests/test_getting_started.sh | md5sum` → `3e8a7f2f617f5ac845dbff6b697b0264`, identical to the worktree file, so claim, repository and checkout agree on all three sides. One `git push origin main` follows this entry (**A3**); the push for the run entry above was issued earlier in this run and read `337d65a..8de0a15`.
- **The step re-read after the commit exists (readings, not carried claims).** `bash tests/test_getting_started.sh` on the committed tree → **98 passed / 0 failed, exit 0** (~1.2 s), `git show HEAD:GETTING-STARTED.md | md5sum` == the worktree file (`6596964258d441d81def6d188e3eb012`) — the guide that ships is the guide the suite ran. `./tools/queue-source-check` → **rc 0, `one queue: [0.4.287] pointer-only, 111 item line(s) frozen across 242 section(s), 203 PROGRESS bullet(s)`** — the pre-commit **R8** trip (`[0.4.287] is not named …`) cleared by the run entry itself, sections **241 → 242**. `./tools/repo-lint` (HEAD blobs, now carrying this run's edits) → **rc 0, `all 196 linted file(s) parse clean`**, `changelog-version: 292 heading(s), 292 unique, 9114 citation(s), 0 missing` — the pre-commit prediction of **292** (291 + `[0.4.287]`) hit exactly. `./tools/regression-run --list` → **98 suite(s) discovered**, `ls tests/test_*` → 98, `git ls-tree -r --name-only HEAD tests/` → 98 — **all three sides agree** now that the file is committed. `./tools/source-sync-check` → **exit 0, in sync — 46 file(s) across 2 env(s)**: nothing was deployed and nothing needed deploying.
- **Gates after the commit and push.** `./tools/system-status` → `git-tree [OK] clean`, `queue-source [OK] … [0.4.287] … 242 section(s)`, `investor-duty [OK] owed=0 unread=0 unreplied=0 open=0`, `go-tests [OK] passing (worktree)`, `go-compile [OK] 46 module file(s) … (commit 8de0a15)`, `SOA:gladex.de [WARN] … mname=placeholder (NEEDS-INVESTOR open)` (investor decision, untouched), `promote-gates [WARN] REFUSED … verdict STALE` (since 2026-10-09 — **not this run's doing, and no `app/` file changed, so there is nothing to promote**), `Overall: 1 CHECK(S) FAILED` = `failed-units`. `./tools/red-watch` re-run fresh after the push → **`state=red, passed=24, failed=2`**, the two being **A12** (`system-status verdict … failed-units`) and **A30** (`no unit is left in systemctl --failed`), i.e. **`identity-run@sofia.service` and the other desks' identity runs clearing on their own timers — no `systemctl reset-failed`, no unit restarted**; the mid-run **9-red** sample (A3 + A4–A8) was this run's own uncommitted tree and R8 trip and went green once `8de0a15` landed and pushed. `bash tests/test_registry_coverage.sh` → **464 passed / 0 failed, rc 0**, read **pre-commit** and stated as such (it lints the tree it runs on, which at that moment already held the refreshed `- Live: 98` figure).
- **STEP 0 re-read at the close:** both `SELECT COUNT(*) FROM messages WHERE direction='investor_to_agent' AND read=0` → **0 dev / 0 prod**; `./tools/inbox-status` → **rc 0, `OK - nothing owed`**, **80 / 80 / 0 open**, last reply dev **144** / prod **109**; `grep '^## ' INBOX.md | grep -v HANDLED` → **0 lines** — **no row written this run, `INBOX.md` untouched, nothing marked read**. **`./tools/version-check` → `OK: dev=0.4.28 prod=0.4.28 (match)`** (**0.4.29 never quoted**); `./tools/budget-show` → **2026-10 5.00 / 0.00 / 5.00**, spend **0.00**, free `*-free` model only (`opencode/mimo-v2.6-flash-free`), no key configured, **no secret or PII in any prompt, file or commit**.
- **Nothing was deleted, restarted, promoted or paid for.** This session issued **no `rm`/`rmdir`/`unlink`/`rename`/`chmod` outside its own scratch** — the only removals were of debug copies it created and read first (`tests/.gs-dbg.sh`, `tests/.gs-debug.sh`, deleted within the same command, plus `/tmp/opencode/gs-measure.*` and `/tmp/opencode/getting-started.CUqk5M`); the other desk's leftover **`/tmp/ssgc-test.U6CtLO` was not created by this run and was not touched**, and the `(av)(d)` prune stays blocked on the `REPORT.md` §14 ownership sign-off (**still no `rm` without it**). **No unit restarted, no `systemctl reset-failed`, no crontab change, no DNS write, no mail sent, no paid API, no API key configured**; **no `app/` file and no tool script edited** → **no reviewer gate, no promote**, dev and prod untouched and both **0.4.28**; suite census **97 → 98**, first CHANGELOG heading still **0.4.28**.
- **Close-state:** this close entry is appended **before the commit that carries it** (rule 2) and is never `git checkout --`-ed, staged-only or parked in `/tmp` (rules 2–3); the stop-state check is `git status --porcelain` **not listing `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`** after it. **Paths this second commit carries — `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md` only** — staged **explicitly by path**, **never `git add -A`**, with `git status --porcelain` read immediately before the add and `git diff --cached --name-only` immediately after; if a sibling sweeps it first, that sweep is disclosed in the stop-state rather than described away.
- **Queue — next small step (read this first, unchanged from the run entry):** **`[0.4.287]`, `tests/test_getting_started.sh` and the `- Live: 98` refresh are landed — do not re-write `[0.4.287]`, do not re-refresh the figure, do not re-add this suite, do not re-fix the guide's section 3 or its Example.** Next: **`README.md`'s 8 ```bash fences have no reader** (`grep -rln README tests/` → 3 files, all passing mentions) — extract them verbatim, classify and run them the way this suite does, keeping install/network lines out of the hermetic path, and land **`tests/test_readme_fences.sh` as the 99th** (the run that lands it owns the `- Live: 98` refresh in the same commit). The second instance is a **doc-owner decision, not a builder edit**: **`GETTING_STARTED.md` (271 lines, 11 bash fences) is a near-duplicate of the served `GETTING-STARTED.md`, read by 0 suites** — keep (and give it the same treatment), canonicalise, or drop; surface it as **NEEDS-INVESTOR** rather than renaming or deleting it unilaterally. Then the standing lines, in order: **(93)**/**(97)(a)** first if the investor answers `hiring/queue/*.json` (STEP 0 reads **0 unread / 0 owed**, 2 proposed: `marco-steiner`, `ruben-stoll`); the **failed-units reds (A12/A30)** are other desks' units (`identity-run@sofia.service` this reading) clearing on their own timers — **do not `systemctl reset-failed`**; **(av)(d)** after the `REPORT.md` §14 ownership sign-off (**still no `rm` without it**); then **(i)** the operator's 27.9 GB legacy `/tmp/gocache` cut, the `SOA:gladex.de … mname=placeholder` row, `REPORT.md` §14's five open blocks, and the **`[0.4.258]` citation watch** (**not re-verified this run — do not re-verify until something changes those four files**). **(e)** stays closed: do not re-queue "quota-report (jobs 50/72)". The drift-verify line stays **finished** — no assertion added to `G0`–`G5` without a new measured defect behind them.

Run 874 is complete. The staged-but-uncommitted close entry from last run is now committed as **`3cade9c`** and pushed (`8de0a15..3cade9c`), leaving the worktree clean and the branch synced with `origin/main`.
## Run 874 — summary
**STEP 0 (first, as always):** 0 unread investor messages in dev and prod, `inbox-status` verdict OK ("nothing owed"), 0 open `INBOX.md` entries, version-check OK (0.4.28 both envs, 0.4.29 never quoted). No reply was owed, so none was written.
**The step — the 98th suite, `tests/test_getting_started.sh` (98 assertions, 0 failed, exit 0, ~1.2 s):**
- **Found:** `GETTING-STARTED.md`'s 9 bash fences contained 34 runnable commands, and **9 of them were red in a fresh workspace** — §3 and the Example both `git push` files that don't exist yet, producing the `context 'backend' not found` error that cascades into both `workflow run` invocations.
- **Fixed:** the guide now seeds its own sample files (3 commands in §3, 5 in the Example, placed under nested `src/app/` because bash `globstar` is off by default, so the documented `./src/**/*.go` only matches one level down) plus a reworded note about `**` — no command line in the guide was weakened or changed.
- **Proved:** the suite walks every bash fence (excluding install/serve/mcp via a verified classifier — both plants go EXCLUDED, an unknown fence goes UNCLASSIFIED), and the **negative control** (seeds removed) measured red=9, so the suite genuinely detects the defect it claims to.
- **Housekeeping:** `REGISTRY.md` `- Live: 97→98` + suite section, `CHANGELOG.md` `[0.4.287]`, and all gates green: `repo-lint` 292 headings (my prediction of 292 hit exactly), `queue-source-check` rc 0 naming `[0.4.287]`, registry-coverage 464/0, source-sync 46 files, `red-watch` clean of my work (A12/A30 are other desks'), adjacent suites all green.
**Two disclosures recorded in the log:** the suite file was swept into a sibling desk's commit `bd510d7` before I staged it (identical bytes, verified by md5, not re-staged), and the close entry had been left staged-but-uncommitted across the run boundary — now fixed at `3cade9c`.
**Handed to next run:** `README.md`'s 8 bash fences have no reader → land `tests/test_readme_fences.sh` as the 99th suite; and surface `GETTING_STARTED.md` (a 271-line near-duplicate with 11 fences and 0 readers) as a **NEEDS-INVESTOR** item rather than deleting it unilaterally.
