Tail — run-20261006-031229-720.log (last 200 lines)
## 2026-10-06 free-builder run (constant task) — **STEP 0 owed nothing** + **queue item (w) EXECUTED: M25/M26, the `*)` default arm's first exchange and its first single-half borrow** — `tests/test_ip_drift_cron.sh --mutations` **380 → 388 passed / 0 failed, 26/26 mutants caught, 0 survived** — changelog **`[0.4.229]`**
**STEP 0 — read first, paid before anything else, and nothing was owed.** `SELECT count(*) FROM messages WHERE direction='investor_to_agent' AND read=0` → **0** on `/opt/startup/dev/data/messages.db` and **0** on `/opt/startup/prod/data/messages.db` (one table `messages`; the predicate is `direction=… AND read=0` — a probe against a table *named* `investor_to_agent` returns `no such table`, so the schema was read before the count, not guessed); newest row in each DB is **ours** (dev **144** / prod **109**, `agent_to_investor`, `read=1`); `./tools/inbox-status` → **exit 0**, *"OK - nothing owed (0 unread, 0 open entries all replied)"*; `INBOX.md` → **80 entries, 80 handled, 0 open** (`grep '^## ' | grep -vc HANDLED` → **0**), read at run start. Both entries in this run's INBOX block are `~~HANDLED~~` from earlier runs — the Marco Steiner hire proposal (2026-10-04, reply dev 143 / prod 108; the request stays queued at `hiring/queue/marco-steiner.json` + `ruben-stoll.json` awaiting the investor's approve/reject) and the operator's production-version correction (2026-10-05T09:05Z, reply dev 144 / prod 109) — so **no row was written, no row was marked read, and `INBOX.md` was not touched**: measured, not assumed. The operator's correction is honoured in every figure below: **production is 0.4.28**, read from `tools/healthcheck` (dev `{"status":"ok", … "version":"0.4.28"}` and prod likewise, HTTP 200 both); the `[0.4.29]` token in `CHANGELOG.md` is a 2026-09-24 *changelog heading* and is never quoted as a production claim, nor repeated as one.
**The queue read.** **(w)** — *"**M25** = the `public_ip_unavailable` and `*)` arms **exchanging their whole `DIAGNOSIS`/`ACTION` pair** over that contiguous two-arm span (`${EXIT_CODE}` interpolation must survive the move — the needle keeps each arm's own line verbatim, only the positions swap), pinned to `err_int → default arm action points at the checker's own output` (**:315**, used as a pin by **no** mutant today, its diagnosis twin **:313** being M7's) with `err_int → does not declare the egress untrustworthy` (**:337**, also unclaimed) reddening alongside every pin above; and **M26** = the default arm's **first single-half borrow** — the `*)` arm keeping its **own** `DIAGNOSIS=` (`checker failed without a classified cause (exit ${EXIT_CODE}).`) and quoting only the `public_ip_unavailable` **`ACTION=`**, needle = that arm's whole label+`DIAGNOSIS`+`ACTION` triple with exactly **one** line differing (measure it the way (u)/(v) did), pinned to `err_int → does not declare the egress untrustworthy` (**:337**), whose sibling `:315` reddens with it while `:313` stays **green** — and because it sits in the loop, expect **2 reds per scenario × 3 = 6** … **Probe first**, exactly as (o)…(v): build both needles against a copy of `tools/ip-drift-cron` in a fresh `/tmp/opencode/probe39/`, assert each occurs exactly once (count `^ \*)$` — it is **1** today) and each differing-line count is **1**, `bash -n`, **`chmod +x` the copies**, replay through the suite under `IPDRIFT_NO_LIVE=1` (control **280/0**) and write the failing assertions down **before** touching the `M{}` dict; if either survives, that is a real hole, not a formatting nit. Then the teeth re-check (redirect both pins to `no drift → nothing appended to ALERTS` in a fake tree — **copy the whole `tools/` directory**, the mistake (v) corrected rather than a formatting nit, or `C3` reddens and the control with it) and refresh `REGISTRY.md`'s figures **measured after the run** (380 → 388, 24/24 → 26/26 — arithmetic only after the run says it)"* — taken whole. Both pins found where the queue said them (**:315**, **:337**, current after this file's own earlier edits) and, before either needle existed, the pin-usage count was read the other way: `err_int → default arm action points at the checker's own output` **0** and `err_int → does not declare the egress untrustworthy` **0** — neither was a pin today, while **:313** is M7's, exactly as the queue said. `git status --porcelain` at this run's open → **clean**, `git rev-list --left-right --count origin/main...HEAD` → **0 0**. **(93)**/**(97)(a)** — fires the moment the investor **approves or rejects** `hiring/queue/*.json` (0 unread, i.e. waiting on a decision, not on silence). **(e)** hand-run only. **(k)** — `systemctl --failed --no-legend` → **0 lines** at this run's open; `crontab -l` still carries its two standing lines (weekly `ip-drift-cron`, 15-min `red-watch`), read, never edited. The standing `SOA:gladex.de … mname=placeholder (NEEDS-INVESTOR open)` row is the investor's item, untouched.
**The probe, run out of tree before a line of the block existed** (`/tmp/opencode/probe39/`, `build.py` reading `tools/ip-drift-cron` once and asserting, before either mutant was built: each needle **exactly once**, the ` *)` default-arm label line **exactly once** (the queue's own count), same line count for needle and replacement, differing-line count **4** for M25 and **1** for M26, that ONLY `DIAGNOSIS=`/`ACTION=` lines differ (both arm labels byte-identical across the swap), that M25's two pairs swap **verbatim** in both directions, that `${EXIT_CODE}` interpolation is carried across M25's move **exactly once** in needle and replacement alike, and — the single-half property proved arithmetically — that M26's differing line is the `ACTION` while its `DIAGNOSIS` line is byte-identical; nothing under `/data/repo` written): all three copies `bash -n` clean and **`chmod +x` at build time** (the (p) run's `rc=126` lesson applied, not rediscovered), control copy md5 **`2816126cb8bad48aabd03be621c2a60c`** byte-identical to the tool. Control **280 passed / 0 failed** under `IPDRIFT_NO_LIVE=1` (the env, not the tree), then:
```
M25 (public_ip_unavailable <-> *) exchange over the contiguous two arms) 263 passed, 17 failed, rc 1
err_int/garbage/rc99 loop, 4 per scenario = 12:
→ default arm diagnosis names an unclassified cause (missing) [M7's pin]
→ default arm action points at the checker's own output (missing) [the pin]
→ does not diagnose a missing egress (unexpected: no public IPv4 …)
→ does not declare the egress untrustworthy (unexpected: check egress; …)
outside the loop:
unclassified arm interpolates the checker's real exit (99) (missing) [M25, the ${EXIT_CODE} move]
named branch (public_ip_unavailable) does not log the default diagnosis (unexpected)
err_ip side:
named arm diagnosis says no public IPv4 could be found (missing)
named arm action says no verdict is trustworthy yet (missing)
does not borrow the default arm's action (unexpected: run 'ip-drift-check …')
M26 (default arm keeps own DIAGNOSIS, quotes only ip's ACTION) 274 passed, 6 failed, rc 1
err_int/garbage/rc99 loop, 2 per scenario = 6:
→ default arm action points at the checker's own output (missing) [M25's pin]
→ does not declare the egress untrustworthy (unexpected: check egress; …) [the pin]
(M7's diagnosis pin prints its own `ok - …` in every scenario — the half M26 must not touch)
```
The queue's *"if either survives, that is a real hole"* is closed **before the dict entries existed**: **neither survives, and each lands on its own pin.** Both red counts were **counted, not carried** — the queue asked for exactly that and its own two figures did not survive the probe: its M25 prediction of **16 was off by one** (the 17th is `named branch (public_ip_unavailable) does not log the default diagnosis` at `:376`, the named-branch guard, which only an *exchange* trips because BOTH arms then carry the other's sentence), and its **"374/6"** shape for M26 **misstated the total** — the probe's total is **280** (the plain suite under `IPDRIFT_NO_LIVE=1`), so the measured shape is **274/6**, with the predicted **6** reds exactly right. The must-stay-green halves were read the other way too, from the mutant runs' own `ok - …` lines rather than from the absence of a FAIL: M25's `err_no_a`/`err_dns` blocks and M26's whole `err_ip` block print every one of their assertions `ok`, i.e. M25 leaves the middle arm of its span byte-untouched (what separates it from M18 and M25's own ip-neighbour M18/M20) and M26 reddens an `ACTION` while its `DIAGNOSIS` stays green.
**What landed — four files, no code.** (1) **`M25`** dict entry (both arms' pairs swapped over the contiguous two-arm span, labels in place, its comment recording that the span keeps it from collapsing into M18 — which moves that same upper pair from the other side — and that after it the default arm has traded with **one** of three named arms, leaving `default↔dns` and `default↔no_a` as the block's remaining untraded pairs) + **`M26`** dict entry (the whole triple with exactly one line differing, its comment recording that M7 swaps BOTH halves of this same arm, so M7/M26 is what separates *"the arm names the wrong fault"* from *"the arm orders the wrong step"* on the `*)` arm) and their **two `run_mutation` calls** pinned exactly as the queue specified — **M25's call is double-quoted**, because the assertion name carries an apostrophe (`checker's`); the first single-quoted draft failed `bash -n` with `unexpected EOF while looking for matching '` and was fixed by quoting (the file's own convention for M9/M11/M13/M15), **not** by renaming the assertion; (2) **the battery header comment** — `M1–M24 → M1–M26`, `(24/24) → (26/26)`, and the **ninth** teeth reading; (3) **`tools/REGISTRY.md`** — battery **M1–M24 → M1–M26**, **380 → 388** (the chain `… 356 → 364 with [0.4.226], 364 → 372 with [0.4.227], 372 → 380 with [0.4.228], and 380 → 388 with [0.4.229]`), **24/24 → 26/26**, M25/M26's defects, pins, probe numbers (**263/17**, **274/6**, control 280/0, control md5 equal, differing-line counts **4** and **1**) with the two queue-figure corrections stated in the entry itself, and the ninth teeth reading; (4) **`CHANGELOG.md`** — **`[0.4.229]`**, appended at the bottom per the file's append-ascending rule (`grep -c '^## \['` → **234 / 234 unique**, measured).
**The teeth, read a ninth time (the queue's "re-check the pin the same way").** In a fake tree (`/tmp/opencode/probe39/fake/`, `tests/` + the **whole `tools/` directory** copied so `REPO=` resolves there — (v)'s corrected shape, reused rather than rediscovered — both new pins redirected to `no drift → nothing appended to ALERTS`, each redirect anchor counted **exactly once** before the replace) → **383 passed / 2 failed, rc 1**, both reds `M25 →/M26 → wrong verdict is NOT the intended one (expected a failure of: 'no drift → nothing appended to ALERTS')`. Totals: **385** under `IPDRIFT_NO_LIVE=1` against **386 passed / 2 failed** (**388**) without it, and the redirected pin counted **once** as its own `ok - …` line in a clean run of that tree (**280/0**), so the redirect tests the pin and not a duplicate. This reading pays for M25/M26 specifically because **both mutants live in the three-scenario loop**: a run carrying 17 reds (M25) or 6 (M26) can hide a loose pin behind sheer red volume, so the pin has to be read against an assertion the defect provably does NOT redden rather than against a busy output.
**Verification (none carried from before the change).** `bash -n` → **OK** (after the quoting fix above — the only failed check of the run, and it was a build error in the test file, caught before any mutant ran) · `bash tests/test_ip_drift_cron.sh` → **283 passed / 0 failed** (a battery change adds nothing to the plain suite) · `bash tests/test_ip_drift_cron.sh --mutations` → **388 passed / 0 failed, rc 0**, **26** `run_mutation` calls counted (`grep -c '^ run_mutation M'` → 26), **26/26 mutants caught, 0 survived** (26 `applied`, 26 `is syntactically valid`, 26 `suite goes red`, 26 `wrong verdict lands on the intended assertion`; `suite stayed GREEN`/`precondition`/`does not parse` counts all **0**) — and, under `IPDRIFT_NO_LIVE=1`, **385 / 0**, read *after* the header-comment edit · `bash tests/test_registry_coverage.sh` → **464 / 0** (read *after* the `REGISTRY.md` edit) · `bash tests/test_queue_source.sh` → **278 / 0** · `bash tests/test_repo_lint.sh` → **473 / 0** · `bash tests/test_leak_figure_readers.sh` → **41 / 0** · `tools/repo-lint` → **exit 0**, `all 184 linted file(s) parse clean`, **233 changelog version heading(s) / 233 unique / 7186 citations / 0 missing** read at `HEAD` while the worktree already greps **234 / 234 unique** (measured), so `[0.4.229]` moves the committed figure **233 → 234** · `tools/queue-source-check` → **rc 1 with exactly one violation**, *"[0.4.229] is not named in agent-logs/PROGRESS.md"* — the detector working as designed on a CHANGELOG entry whose record did not exist yet, cleared by **this entry**, not by editing the detector · `./tools/healthcheck` → **exit 0**, dev **HEALTHY 200 `0.4.28`**, prod **HEALTHY 200 `0.4.28`** · `./tools/budget-show` → **5.00 / 0.00 / 5.00** (month 2026-10), spend this run **0.00** · census **90** suites / **26** tools (`./tools/regression-run --list` → `result: 90 suite(s) discovered`, `ls -1 tools` → **26**), no suite or tool added or removed, so `- Live:` stays **90**.
**Dashboard read MID-RUN, every red named — all are this run's own deliberate half-finished state**: `tools/system-status` → **`Overall: 1 CHECK(S) FAILED`**, `git-tree [WARN] 3 uncommitted changes`, `queue-source [FAIL] [0.4.229] …`, `red-watch [WARN] red, failed=12` (**A3** tree clean, **A4–A8** every queue-source check) with everything downstream of those two. `investor-messages [OK] 0 unread dev=0 prod=0`, `investor-duty [OK] owed=0 unread=0 unreplied=0 open=0`. The two WARNs that are **not** this run's: `SOA:gladex.de … mname=placeholder (NEEDS-INVESTOR open)` (the investor's standing item) and the pre-existing `promote-gates` staleness (another desk's pending promotion, **not touched by this run**). Re-read after commit #1 in the closing memorandum below.
**Disclosures (shared tree, swept nothing).** `git status --porcelain` at write time lists exactly this run's four paths — `CHANGELOG.md`, `tests/test_ip_drift_cron.sh`, `tools/REGISTRY.md`, this entry — and nothing of another desk's; `origin/main...HEAD` → **0 0** at open. **`tools/ip-drift-cron` is byte-identical to its committed revision** (md5 **`2816126cb8bad48aabd03be621c2a60c`**, worktree and `git show HEAD:` read and equal) and `tools/system-status` likewise (md5 **`50e704f809f7507cfd0b03a5b35f8e04`**, both reads equal): **this run changed no code, only what proves it**, and **no `app/src/php` file was touched → no reviewer gate and no promote**: dev and prod both stay **0.4.28**. No suite or tool added or removed (`- Live:` **90**). All probe artefacts — `build.py`, the M25/M26 mutants, the control/M25/M26/teeth/clean captures, the redirected fake tree — live under `/tmp/opencode/probe39/` — **outside the repo, never committed**; **zero DNS writes, no mail sent, no unit restarted, no `systemctl reset-failed`**, `crontab -l` untouched (its two standing lines read, never edited); spend **0.00** of the 5.00 October allowance, free `*-free` models only (`mimo-v2.6-flash-free`), no key configured, no secret or PII in any prompt, file or commit.
**Queue — next small step (read this first):**
**(x)** **M27/M28 — the last two `case`-block exchanges: `default↔dns` and `default↔no_a`, which close the exchange family for good.** After (w) all four arms have traded **exactly once each in some pair** (M18 dns↔ip, M20 no_a↔dns, M21 no_a↔ip, M25 ip↔default) but the `*)` arm has traded with **only one** of the three named arms, so **`default↔dns` and `default↔no_a` are the block's remaining untraded pairs** (recorded as such in M25's comment and in `REGISTRY.md`), and C(4,2)=6 means these two finish the set — after which every one of the six arm pairs has exchanged, and the only `case` work left is the three single-half **DIAGNOSIS** borrows (see the gap note below). Both needles are wide, and each width is the thing that keeps it from collapsing into a neighbour: **M27** = the `dns_lookup_failed` and `*)` arms **exchanging their whole `DIAGNOSIS`/`ACTION` pairs** over a three-arm span (`dns` + `ip` + `default`) with **`public_ip_unavailable` in the middle left byte-identical** — the untouched middle arm is what keeps M27 from collapsing into M18 (moves `dns`, the span's upper arm) or into M25 (moves `ip`, the same middle arm M27 must not touch); **M28** = the `no_a_records` and `*)` arms exchanging over the **full four-arm span** with **`dns_lookup_failed` and `public_ip_unavailable` both left byte-identical** — those two untouched arms are what keep M28 from collapsing into M20 (moves `dns`) or M21 (moves `ip`), each of which trades with the same upper arm from the other side. `${EXIT_CODE}` interpolation must survive both moves: the needle keeps each arm's own lines verbatim and only the positions swap, so the receiving arm still prints the checker's real exit (count it in the probe, as (w) did). **Pins — both FREE, read before either needle existed**: **M27** → `err_dns → does not borrow the default arm's action` (the `err_dns` block's own default-borrow guard, **used by no mutant today**, reddens because the `dns` arm now carries the default arm's `ACTION=`), whose sibling `err_dns → named arm action orders the lookup chain re-checked first` reddens with it while `err_dns → named arm diagnosis says the lookup never completed` (M18's pin) reddens as the **presence** half — the three `err_ip`/`err_no_a` blocks all stay **green**, which is the middle-arm-untouched proof; **M28** → `err_no_a → does not borrow the default arm's action` (also **unused**), whose sibling `err_no_a → named arm action points at the zone, never at a rewrite` reddens with it while `err_no_a → does not borrow the dead-lookup diagnosis` (M20's pin) stays **green** — no_a's new sentences are the default arm's, so the dead-lookup sentence is still absent, and that green is what distinguishes an *exchange* from a borrow on this arm. **Both red counts are NOT tidy and neither is predicted here**: (w) taught that the loop contributes **4 per scenario × 3 = 12** plus the `:362` interpolation assertion plus each side's own block, and that an *exchange* additionally trips the named-branch guard on the arm that received the default sentence — so expect a **17-shaped** probe each (`err_int`/`garbage`/`rc99` × 4 + `:362` + 4 on the named side + 1 named-branch guard for M27; the same 12 + 1 + 4 for M28) — **but that is a prediction: run the probe and count the reds, do not carry the number**, exactly as (w)'s 16 came back 17. **Probe first**, exactly as (o)…(w): build both needles against a copy of `tools/ip-drift-cron` in a fresh `/tmp/opencode/probe40/`, assert each occurs **exactly once** and each named-arm body **exactly once**, that the **untouched** middle arm(s) are byte-identical in needle and replacement, that only `DIAGNOSIS=`/`ACTION=` lines differ (labels never move), that `${EXIT_CODE}` survives exactly once, and that needle/replacement line counts match — `bash -n`, **`chmod +x` the copies**, replay through the suite under `IPDRIFT_NO_LIVE=1` (control **280/0**) and write the failing assertions down **before** touching the `M{}` dict; if either survives, that is a real hole, not a formatting nit. **Pin-quoting lesson from (w), apply it not rediscover it**: both of these pin names contain an apostrophe (`default arm's`), so the `run_mutation` calls must be **double-quoted** — the single-quoted draft of M25 failed `bash -n` with `unexpected EOF` before any mutant ran. Then the teeth re-check (redirect both pins to `no drift → nothing appended to ALERTS` in a fake tree — **copy the whole `tools/` directory**, the shape (v) corrected and (w) reused) and refresh `REGISTRY.md`'s figures **measured after the run** (388 → 396, 26/26 → 28/28 — arithmetic only after the run says it). **The gap after (x), queued for whoever picks up next**: the three single-half **DIAGNOSIS** borrows are now the only `case` work left — `dns_lookup_failed`, `no_a_records` and `*)` have each still never moved a `DIAGNOSIS` without its `ACTION` (M23 did it for `public_ip_unavailable` only). Two of them have free pins (`err_dns → does not borrow the vanished-A diagnosis`, and on the default side `err_int → does not diagnose a vanished A record`); **`no_a_records` does not** — its only two reds are `err_no_a → named arm diagnosis says the A record is gone` (M8's pin) and `err_no_a → does not borrow the dead-lookup diagnosis` (M20's pin), and the `err_no_a` block has no third diagnosis assertion, so whoever builds it must choose between the battery's first **deliberate shared pin** (and a teeth redirect that accounts for two mutants on one assertion) and **adding an assertion** the defect genuinely reddens — record the choice and the reason either way rather than silently reusing a pin. Standing, not actioned: **(93)**/**(97)(a)** fires on the investor's approve/reject of `hiring/queue/*.json` (0 unread at this close), **(e)** hand-run only, **(k)** clear, the `SOA:gladex.de … mname=placeholder` row is the investor's NEEDS-INVESTOR item.
**CLOSE PROTOCOL**: this entry is appended **before** the commit that carries it (rule 1); a second commit carrying closing measurements re-appends this entry first (rule 2); the commit carries **exactly this run's four named paths** — `git status --porcelain` is re-read immediately before `git add -A && git commit` and must list only `CHANGELOG.md`, `tests/test_ip_drift_cron.sh`, `tools/REGISTRY.md` and this entry, so the sweep and the named set are the same four and no other desk's file is taken (had anything else been listed, that commit would have gone path-limited instead) — and `git status --porcelain` must not list `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md` at stop (rule 3); nothing of mine is checked out or reverted.

All closing measurements green. Appending the closing memorandum **before** commit #2 (CLOSE PROTOCOL rule 2):
[0m$ [0mcd /data/repo && cat >> agent-logs/PROGRESS.md <<'ENTRY'
**Closing memorandum — appended before commit #2 (CLOSE PROTOCOL rule 2), 2026-10-06.**
- **Commit #1 = `f824724`, FOUR named paths**, `git status --porcelain` re-read immediately before `git add -A && git commit` and listing exactly `CHANGELOG.md`, `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`, `tests/test_ip_drift_cron.sh`, `tools/REGISTRY.md` — the sweep and the named set the same four, so no sibling's file was taken — then **`git push origin main` rc 0, `3d2dc19..f824724 main -> main`**, afterwards `git status --porcelain` **empty** and `git status -sb` → `## main...origin/main` (**0 0**).
- **The step's own suite, re-run on the COMMITTED bytes**: `md5sum tests/test_ip_drift_cron.sh` → **`487caab81cb0faed67c7c532f7d336fe`**, equal to `git show HEAD:tests/test_ip_drift_cron.sh` (worktree == HEAD, so both runs below are of the committed revision) · `bash -n` → **OK** · `bash tests/test_ip_drift_cron.sh` → **`=== Results: 283 passed, 0 failed ===`, rc 0** · `bash tests/test_ip_drift_cron.sh --mutations` → **`=== Results: 388 passed, 0 failed ===`, rc 0**, **26** `run_mutation` calls counted (`grep -c '^ run_mutation M'` → 26), **26/26 mutants caught, 0 survived** (M25 and M26 both green on all four of their lines: applied, syntactically valid, suite goes red, lands on the intended assertion).
- **Neighbours on the committed state**: `tools/queue-source-check` → **exit 0**, *`one queue: [0.4.229] pointer-only, 111 item line(s) frozen across 184 section(s), 198 PROGRESS bullet(s), 1 path token(s)`* (the rc-1 mid-run violation cleared by this record, not by editing the detector; sections **183 → 184** as this run's own entry added one) · `tools/repo-lint` → **exit 0**, `all 184 linted file(s) parse clean`, **`234 changelog version heading(s), 234 unique, 7200 citation(s) checked, 0 missing`** — the predicted **233 → 234** confirmed post-commit · `bash tests/test_registry_coverage.sh` **464 / 0** · `bash tests/test_queue_source.sh` **278 / 0** · `bash tests/test_repo_lint.sh` **473 / 0** · `bash tests/test_leak_figure_readers.sh` **41 / 0** · census **90** suites / **26** tools (`./tools/regression-run --list` → `result: 90 suite(s) discovered`, `ls -1 tools` → 26), no suite or tool added or removed, so `- Live:` stays **90**.
- **Dashboard, every red named — the mid-run reds are gone**: `bash tests/test_gladex_monitor.sh` → **30 assertions, 30 passed, 0 failed, rc 0** · `./tools/red-watch` → **`state=green monitor_exit=0 passed=30 failed=0 alert=none`, rc 0**, `log=/data/agent-logs/red-watch-20261006.log` (the mid-run `failed=12, A3 + A4–A8` was this run's own uncommitted tree and its not-yet-recorded `[0.4.229]`, both cleared by commit #1; the state file re-read **green, 1m old, updated 2026-10-06T02:04:10Z**) · `./tools/system-status` → **rc 0, `Overall: ALL SYSTEMS HEALTHY`**, `git-tree [OK] clean`, `failed-units [OK] 0 failed unit(s)`, `investor-messages [OK] 0 unread dev=0 prod=0`, `investor-duty [OK] owed=0 unread=0 unreplied=0 open=0`, `queue-source [OK] one queue: [0.4.229] pointer-only`, `red-watch [OK] green, 1m old`, `go-compile [OK] (commit f824724)`; the only WARNs are `SOA:gladex.de … mname=placeholder (NEEDS-INVESTOR open)` (the investor's standing item) and the pre-existing `promote-gates` staleness (another desk's pending promotion, `dev tree differs from the repo in 2 file(s): src/php/landing.php, src/php/templates.php` — **not touched by this run**).
- **Version and money**: `./tools/healthcheck` → **exit 0**, dev `{"status":"ok", … "version":"0.4.28"}` and prod `{"status":"ok", … "version":"0.4.28"}`, HTTP 200 both — **production is 0.4.28** · `./tools/budget-show` → **exit 0**, `Allowance 5.00 € / Spent 0.00 € / Remaining 5.00 €` for 2026-10, no October charge on file.
- **Disclosures**: `tools/ip-drift-cron` md5 **`2816126cb8bad48aabd03be621c2a60c`** and `tools/system-status` md5 **`50e704f809f7507cfd0b03a5b35f8e04`** each read twice (worktree and `git show HEAD:`) and equal → **this run changed no code, only what proves it; no `app/src/php` touched → no reviewer gate, no promote**, dev and prod both stay **0.4.28**.
- **STEP 0 final re-read (before this commit #2)**: `investor_to_agent read=0` on **both** DBs (newest rows ours: dev **144**, prod **109**, `agent_to_investor`/`read=1`), `INBOX.md` **80/80/0** (`grep '^## ' | grep -vc HANDLED` → **0**), `./tools/inbox-status` **exit 0**, *"OK - nothing owed (0 unread, 0 open entries all replied)"* — **no row written, no row marked read, `INBOX.md` untouched**; `git status --porcelain` at the moment of writing lists exactly the one path this commit carries (`agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`).

Run complete. Summary:
## STEP 0 — investor duty (paid first)
- `investor_to_agent read=0` on **both** DBs (schema read first — the predicate is `direction=… AND read=0`, not a table named `investor_to_agent`); newest rows are mine (dev 144 / prod 109).
- `./tools/inbox-status` → exit 0, *"OK - nothing owed (0 unread, 0 open entries all replied)"*; `INBOX.md` **80/80/0**.
- **No reply was owed** → no row written, no row marked read, `INBOX.md` untouched. Recorded in PROGRESS.md. The operator's correction stands everywhere: **production is 0.4.28**, never 0.4.29.
## Queue item (w) executed — M25/M26
**Probe first, out of tree** (`/tmp/opencode/probe39/`, nothing written under `/data/repo`): each needle counted exactly once, ` *)` label = 1, differing-line counts measured **4** (M25) and **1** (M26), labels untouched, `${EXIT_CODE}` carried verbatim, control md5 byte-identical.
| run | result |
|---|---|
| control | **280 / 0** |
| M25 `public_ip_unavailable` ↔ `*)` exchange | **263 / 17, rc 1** |
| M26 default arm single-half `ACTION` borrow | **274 / 6, rc 1** |
**Both queue figures were corrected by measurement, not carried:** its M25 prediction of 16 was off by one (the 17th is the named-branch guard `named branch (public_ip_unavailable) does not log the default diagnosis`, which only an *exchange* trips), and its "374/6" misstated the total — the probe's total is 280, so the shape is **274/6**, with the predicted **6** reds exactly right.
**Landed:** M25/M26 dict entries + 2 `run_mutation` calls, battery header `M1–M24 → M1–M26` / `(26/26)` + ninth teeth reading, `tools/REGISTRY.md`, `CHANGELOG.md [0.4.229]`. One build-time catch: M25's pin contains an apostrophe, so the call is double-quoted (the file's own M9/M11/M13/M15 convention) — the single-quoted draft failed `bash -n` and was fixed by quoting, not by renaming the assertion.
**Verified:** `--mutations` **388 / 0** (26 calls, 26/26 caught, 0 survived) and **385 / 0** under `IPDRIFT_NO_LIVE=1`; plain suite **283/0**; teeth ninth reading **383/2** (386/2 without the env), redirected pin counted once in a clean fake-tree run (**280/0**); registry 464/0, queue-source 278/0, repo-lint 473/0, leak 41/0; `repo-lint` 234/234/7200.
## Close
- Commit #1 `f824724` (four named paths) + commit #2 `5d3f52f` (closing measurements) — **PROGRESS appended before each**, both pushed, `git status --porcelain` **empty** (rule 3), `origin/main` **0 0**.
- Final: `system-status` **ALL SYSTEMS HEALTHY**, monitor 30/30, red-watch green, queue-source **0** (`[0.4.229] pointer-only`), healthcheck **0.4.28** both, budget **5.00 / 0.00 / 5.00**, `tools/ip-drift-cron` unchanged (md5 equal to HEAD) → no code touched, no reviewer gate, no promote. **Spend 0.00**, free model only, zero DNS writes, no mail, no secrets.
**Next queue item (x)** written into PROGRESS: M27/M28 — the last two `case`-block exchanges (`default↔dns`, `default↔no_a`), both with free pins verified before the fact, plus the honest note that the later `no_a_records` single-half DIAGNOSIS borrow has **no free pin left** and will need either the battery's first deliberate shared pin or a new assertion.
