- **The order-dependent `TestStatusUsesConfigPort` failure that reddened `tools/system-status`'s `go-tests` row.** `app/src/go/cmd/gladex/commands/root_test.go`'s `TestInitCommandHelp` runs `init --help` through the package-level `rootCmd`. cobra@v1.8.1 reads the parsed flag **value** on every `execute()` (`helpVal, err := c.Flags().GetBool("help")` → `return flag.ErrHelp`) while `InitDefaultHelpFlag()` only *creates* the flag and never resets it, so `initCmd` stayed `help=true` for the rest of the process: every later `Execute()` on `initCmd` took the help path, and `ExecuteC` turns `flag.ErrHelp` into a printed help screen and a **nil** error — i.e. `init` reported success having created no `.gladex/`. `TestStatusUsesConfigPort` (landed today in `40d6d00`/`ed006cf`/`94d8cc7`) then read `…/.gladex/config.json: no such file or directory` and failed, which is what made `go-tests` red and, with it, `A12`/`A13`/`A16`/`A17`/`A18` of `tests/test_gladex_monitor.sh`. Fix: `defer initCmd.Flags().Set("help", "false")` in `TestInitCommandHelp`, so the singleton is restored for every later test in the same process — the pollution source, not the symptom.
- **Root cause bisected, not guessed.** `go test -run 'TestInitCommandHelp|TestStatusUsesConfigPort'` reproduced the red in 0.00 s; the same two tests pass after the fix. The pre-fix full package failed **three times in a row** with the identical message, with `HOME` set and unset alike, while `TestStatus.*` alone, and every other test group tried (`TestContext.*`, `TestIntegration.*`, `TestMCP*`, `TestDoctor*`, `TestServe*`, `TestTemplate*`, `TestWorkflow*`, `TestValidateToolCall*`, `TestShippedExampleTemplatesAreValid`, `TestNoWorkspaceMessageIsShared`), read **ok** — only `TestInitCommandHelp` in front of it reddens it. The hazard is already named in this package (`trust_test.go`: *"avoids cobra state pollution from shared initCmd"*).

## The step: cleared the `go-tests` red at its source
The queue handed me "(93)/(97)(a) if the investor answered, otherwise wait for the shifts". Investor hasn't answered (Marco Steiner hire still `proposed`), and all 7 `identity-run@*` units read `inactive (dead)` with timers active — so I took the red the dashboards were showing: `system-status` → `go-tests [FAIL]` + `Overall: 1 CHECK(S) FAILED`.

**Root cause (bisected, not guessed):** `TestStatusUsesConfigPort` failed only in full-package runs. Pairing it with `TestInitCommandHelp` reproduced it in 0.00 s. From `cobra@v1.8.1` source: `execute()` reads the *parsed* `help` flag value and returns `flag.ErrHelp`, while `InitDefaultHelpFlag()` only creates the flag — so `init --help` left `initCmd`'s `help=true` for the whole process, every later `init` took the help path, and `ExecuteC` turned that into a printed help screen + **nil** error, i.e. `init` reported success having created nothing.

**Fix (one file):** `defer initCmd.Flags().Set("help", "false")` in `TestInitCommandHelp`, plus closing the file's pre-existing missing trailing newline (`gofmt -l` clean).
