Tail — run-20261003-195458-606.log (last 200 lines)
- **The defect, measured before editing (17:57:30Z → 17:57:44Z, 14 s).** Baseline run of the untouched file: **80 passed / 0 failed, rc 0**, while `ls -d /tmp/opencode/pgate.* | wc -l` went **5,023 → 5,040** — **+17 from one run** — and `du -sch` → **1.7 G**. The arithmetic is the file: **18** top-level `new_sandbox` statements (`grep -c '^new_sandbox$'`, none inside a loop or conditional) create 18 directories and `cleanup() { [ -n "$SB" ] && rm -rf "$SB"; }` from the `EXIT` trap removes **1**, because `new_sandbox` overwrites `$SB` every call. 18 − 1 = 17, and the trap fires *after* `promote-dev-to-prod gate suite: 80 passed, 0 failed` prints — so no assertion in the suite, and no gate outside it, could ever have seen it: the (115)/(128) shape in a suite that had never had the fix.

- **The fix: the same ledger and the same section shape, but this file's own numbers.** `SB_ALL=""` beside `SB=""`; `new_sandbox` appends `mktemp`'s result on the line after it succeeds (`SB_ALL="${SB_ALL}${SB}"$'\n'`); `cleanup()` iterates it and ends `return 0` (the loop's last test can be false, and an `EXIT`-trap status must not become the suite's exit code). **Section Z** reads the claim while the run is alive: **Z1** the accounting — `entries = section calls + these 2`, the expectation **derived from this file** by `grep -c '^new_sandbox$'` rather than a number in a comment, where Z's own four calls carry a `; Z_x="$SB"` suffix and are therefore excluded by the pattern, which is exactly why `+2` is right and stays right; **Z2** no directory recorded twice; **Z3** both fresh sandboxes on disk; **Z4** both in the ledger **in creation order** (`case` glob `*"$Z_A"*"$Z_B"*`); **Z5** `cleanup` removed **both**; **Z6** the pre-fix `rm -rf "$SB"` reproduced on purpose — applied to a pair where `$SB` is the last, it leaves `Z_O1` standing, which *is* the 17 directories. `bash -n` → **SYNTAX OK** before it was ever run.

- **Verified — every number re-read after the edit, none inherited.** `bash tests/test_promote_gate.sh` → **86 passed / 0 failed, rc 0**, **4 s** (17:59:25Z → 17:59:29Z), `grep -c '^PASS: Z'` → **6**, `grep -c '^FAIL:'` → **0**, and `pgate.*` **5,040 → 5,040: zero leaked** against the baseline's **+17**; Z1 reports `20 entries = 18 section calls + these 2`. Evidence `/tmp/opencode/q130-fixed.body`.

- **The mutant, run OUT of the tree — the measurement this control exists for.** A copy at `/tmp/opencode/q130mutant/tests/` with the **same basename** (the (127) lesson: `SELF` resolves through `basename "$0"`, so a renamed copy reads the wrong file), `tools/` symlinked to the live tree, `TMPDIR` pointed at its own scratch, and **exactly one hunk changed** — `cleanup` reverted to the pre-fix one-liner, precondition-grepped, `bash -n`-validated, md5 `f2461fd09ccbeab1c313136ca86a2900` vs `b4a623ef33e277e20e4c37f9765ee2c9` → **85 passed / 1 failed, rc 1**, the single red **`Z5 cleanup() left …/pgate.KTgeOb behind`** while Z1–Z4 and Z6 stay green: the *ledger* half still reports faithfully under it and it is the *cleanup* claim that reddens. It leaked **19** directories into its own scratch (22 created − 1 by its broken cleanup − 2 removed by Z6's deliberate `rm`), i.e. the mutant re-measures the defect instead of asserting it; copy and scratch deleted afterwards. Evidence `/tmp/opencode/q130mutant/mutant.log`.

- **Reclaim AFTER the suite had proved it leaks nothing — 1.7 G back.** `ps` re-checked first (no concurrent run of this suite), then `ls -d /tmp/opencode/pgate.* | xargs -r rm -rf` → **5,040 → 0**, `du -sch` before → **1.7 G**, `df /` → **73 G used / 21 G free (78 %)** → **71 G / 23 G (77 %)**. Then the proof that matters: a fresh run from a **zero** baseline → **86 passed / 0 failed, rc 0**, `pgate.*` **0 → 0** (18:01:11Z → 18:01:16Z). Evidence `/tmp/opencode/q130-reclaim.txt`, `/tmp/opencode/q130-postreclaim.log`.

- **REGISTRY refreshed in the same run, by the run that touched the suite** — (129)'s own rule for *every* suite a future (128) run touches: `## test_promote_gate.sh` moves **80 → 86** with section Z and the ledger documented beside the section-Y ship-tree paragraph. That file has a reader, so `tests/test_registry_coverage.sh` is re-run on this tree rather than assumed harmless; its result is appended in this run's closing remarks, before commit #2.

- **Deliberately not done, one visible step per run**: the visible item is **(128), one suite — `tests/test_promote_gate.sh`.** **No tool source and no `app/src/php` file touched → no reviewer gate and no promote** (prod untouched, **0.4.28**); no suite added → `- Live:` untouched (**85**); no `GLADEX_APP_VERSION` bump; **no service restarted** (`agent-loop` still **(99)**); **no cron change** (`crontab -l` → 2 lines); **zero DNS writes**; **no mail sent**; Nextcloud/Immich untouched; `hiring/queue/ruben-stoll.json` unchanged and still the investor's call; no history rewrite; **no other identity's file edited, staged or committed** — at append time `git status --porcelain` named exactly `CHANGELOG.md`, `tests/test_promote_gate.sh`, `tools/REGISTRY.md`, all three mine, and this commit names its four paths explicitly so a `git add -A` could not have taken anything else. Model spend **0.00** (free `*-free` models only, no paid key, no secrets or PII in any prompt, file or commit).

- **Next-candidate queued, not actioned**: **(109)(e) STRUCK by `[0.4.162]`**; **(109)(d) STRUCK by `[0.4.165]`**; **(109)(c) STRUCK by `[0.4.166]`**; **(110) STRUCK by `[0.4.167]`**; **(112) STRUCK by `[0.4.168]`**; **(113) detector LANDED by `[0.4.169]`, copy half BLOCKED ON THE OPERATOR** (the two host `cp`s in `REPORT.md` §14's *OPERATOR HANDOFF*; until they run `tools/template-sync-check` reports `drifted`, the intended verdict); **the commit-message `Z`-mislabel STRUCK by `[0.4.170]`**; **(109)(b) REDESIGNED and LANDED as rule R10 by `[0.4.171]`**; **(114) STRUCK by `[0.4.172]`** (its *other* half — four identities landing through the red with `--no-verify` — is **recorded, not fixed**); **(109)(b)/(c)/(d)'s phantom wording STRUCK by `[0.4.163]`**; **(111) CLOSED by `[0.4.164]`**; **(115)** recorded, premise re-measured three times as not reproducing, durable halves open; **(116)–(126) STRUCK by `[0.4.173]`–`[0.4.183]`**; **(127) STRUCK by `[0.4.184]`** — *C43d compared two COUNTS, not two sets*: `comm -3` over both sorted lists is the reader, with the swap built from the run's own lists (452 → 455). **(128)** — *nine suites with no sandbox ledger* — **STRUCK 2 of 9**: `tests/test_promote_json.sh` landed in `[0.4.184]` (175 → 181, 44 leaked per run → 0, code committed `490adea`) and **`tests/test_promote_gate.sh` landed by this run — `[0.4.185]`** (80 → 86, +17 leaked directories per run → 0, **5,040** `pgate.*` / 1.7 G reclaimed); **seven remain**, first unclaimed `tests/test_promote_lint_gate.sh` (`plint` **3,269** directories today, **14** column-0 `new_sandbox` calls → **13 leaked per run**, so Z1's `14 + 2` derivation holds as written), then `tests/test_source_sync_check.sh` (`ssc` **1,473** directories, **6** calls → **5 per run**), then `test_repo_lint.sh`, `test_budget_show.sh`, `test_disk_show.sh`, `test_template_sync.sh`, `test_immich_roundtrip.sh` — the near-zero ones still need it, because *"leaks nothing today"* is not a claim a suite can make about itself. **(129)** — the REGISTRY **175 → 181** refresh — **STRUCK by `490adea` (run 605)**. **(130)** — *the comparison is at NAMESPACE granularity, not label*: `_ns_add` records only the digits before the first non-digit and `control_ids()` returns the same, so a control whose labels HALF ran still reads as present on both sides; (127) closed membership, this is the residue below it. **New: (131)** — *(128)'s per-suite inventory counts **files** as leaked sandboxes, and one suite needs the ledger in two places:* `ls -d /tmp/opencode/rl.*` → **6** but `find -maxdepth 1 -name 'rl.*' -type d` → **1**, the other five being `rl.err` `rl.json` `rl.log` `rl.out` `rl.txt` fixtures (and `ssc.*` reads 1,475 against **1,473** directories, `plint.*` 3,269 / 3,269 all directories) — so each remaining suite's leak must be re-measured with `find … -type d` before its number is quoted; and `tests/test_repo_lint.sh` makes a **second** sandbox, `GO_SB`, in `new_go_sandbox()`, so a ledger appended only inside `new_sandbox` — the `[0.4.184]`/`[0.4.185]` shape — would miss it even though its `cleanup` already removes both.

- **Queue left as written**: **(109)(e) STRUCK by `[0.4.162]`**; **(109)(d) STRUCK by `[0.4.165]`**; **(109)(c) STRUCK by `[0.4.166]`**; **(110) STRUCK by `[0.4.167]`**; **(112) STRUCK by `[0.4.168]`**; **(113) detector LANDED by `[0.4.169]`, its copy blocked on the operator**; **the commit-message `Z`-mislabel STRUCK by `[0.4.170]`**; **(109)(b) REDESIGNED and LANDED as R10 by `[0.4.171]`**; **(114) STRUCK by `[0.4.172]`**; **(109)(b)/(c)/(d)'s phantom wording STRUCK by `[0.4.163]`**; **(111) CLOSED by `[0.4.164]`**; **(115)** recorded, durable halves open; **(116)–(127) STRUCK by `[0.4.173]`–`[0.4.184]`**; **(128) STRUCK 2 of 9** — this run takes the second, seven named above, first unclaimed `tests/test_promote_lint_gate.sh`; **(129) STRUCK by `490adea`**; **(130)** carried; **(131)** new here. Live head **(99)** (needs a service restart this loop does not perform unilaterally), then (113)'s copy, then **(128)**'s third suite. **Next run**: **(93)** or **(97)(a)** the moment the investor answers (STEP 0 reads **0 unread dev / 0 prod / 0 owed**), otherwise **(128)**'s third suite — `tests/test_promote_lint_gate.sh` (14 `new_sandbox` calls, `plint` 3,269 directories, 13 leaked per run), with **(131)**'s two corrections folded into that run's measurement. Nothing else moved this run: **no `app/src/php` edit → no reviewer gate and no promote**, prod untouched **0.4.28**; census **24 tools / 36 registered sections / 85 suites**, `- Live: 85` untouched; **no cron change, nothing restarted**; **zero DNS writes**; **no mail sent**; no history rewrite; no other identity's file edited by me. Model spend **0.00** (free `*-free` models only).

Status so far, while `test_registry_coverage.sh` (the REGISTRY reader) finishes in the background:

**STEP 0 — done first:** `messages` table queried directly (`direction='investor_to_agent' AND read=0`) → **0 unread dev / 0 prod**, `inbox-status` **exit 0 "nothing owed"**, `INBOX.md` **79/79/0 open**. No reply row was owed, so none was inserted — the thread was never touched.

**This run's step — queue item (128), 2nd of 9, `tests/test_promote_gate.sh`:**

| measurement | value |
|---|---|
| baseline (untouched) | 80/0, rc 0, 14 s, `pgate.*` **5,023 → 5,040 (+17 leaked/run)**, 1.7 G |
| after fix | **86/0**, rc 0, 4 s, `pgate.*` **5,040 → 5,040 (zero)**, Z1 `20 = 18 + 2` |
| mutant (out of tree, `cleanup` reverted) | **85/1**, rc 1 — exactly **Z5** red, Z1–Z4+Z6 green, 19 leaked into its own scratch |
| reclaim | 5,040 dirs / 1.7 G → **0**, `df` 73G/21G → 71G/23G |
| fresh run from zero | **86/0**, `pgate.*` **0 → 0** |

**Committed `582f490`** with four named paths (never `git add -A`): `tests/test_promote_gate.sh`, `tools/REGISTRY.md` (80 → 86 + section Z), `CHANGELOG.md` (`[0.4.185]`), `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md` (entry appended *before* the commit).

**Gates at commit #1:** `queue-source-check` exit 0 / `ok true` / `violations []` (newest **0.4.185**, in-progress true, covers changelog true, 147 bullets, frozen 111 = 111, phantoms 0) · `repo-lint` on HEAD exit 0 / `ok true` / 282 files / `failures []` · `healthcheck` dev+prod **HEALTHY 200 0.4.28** · `budget-show` **5.00 / 0.00 / 5.00, warnings []** · `inbox-status` exit 0 · `crontab -l` 2 lines · `red-watch` failed=**1 = A3 only** (in-sync half: my commit not yet pushed) · `system-status` **ALL SYSTEMS HEALTHY**, with `git-tree`/`A15` cleared by this commit and the `promote-gates` STALE-verdict WARN **attributed, not claimed** (the verdict is outlived by `ae6fcd7` 16:28Z and `34ac28e` 16:36Z — leon's and mia's `app/src/php` changes, not mine).

Remaining: closing-remarks append → commit #2 → push (closes A3) → final `git status` must not list `agent-logs/PROGRESS.md`.
